IM SORRY THAT CROWN GOES TO THE PIONEER SX-1980 lol how is it that a monster receiver only has these openings to slide a pin into. I hate them. These are challenging but with the right terminations on the speakers they are solid and indeed scalable top Video. Stay safe.

You can make a loop with the wire then solder it so you end up with a nice connector and with out it shorting out i do this for such connectors or you can buy the proper connector for such screw terminals , I solder all my speaker wires it helps the braded wire from it shorting out or falling off , there are many forms of connecting speaker wires to the system plus if your really clever you can upgrade the speaker terminals to modern ones the same goes for the connectors on speaker enclosures .

Use a 9 volt battery attached to the speaker wires if ypur speaker jumps out thats the positive wire + if speaker sucks in thats your negative wire. Just touch the ends of speaker wires to 9 volt.and look at your speaker
