Wonderful job Mr Conor Biggs. Really appreciate your efforts in bringing this book which will help the Philatelists like me.

I agree, I think Conor's idea for a book on stamp collecting but peppered with humour is brilliant!

Wow! If ever there was a kindred spirit, Connor Biggs is it. I too collected stamps since I was a tot and still do. Me too when it comes to overkill in stamp detail. When I see, hear, or read collectors going deep into stamp minutia, I run. By the way, Stamp Cat, you're a marvelous interviewer. Hope we'll see more like this in the future.

What a great idea for a book that should appeal to a broad audience. To me the beauty of stamp collecting is that there is room for all types of collectors from light hearted accumulators to studious specialists, everyone is welcome in this wonderful hobby. No doubt My Little Book of Stamps will inspire people to take the hobby up. Well done Connor and thanks for sharing, Lisa.

Great interview! Topical collecting can be indeed very difficult since it is so hard to obtain stamps that are common as it's not usually worth selling those stamps as singles. I also appreciate the comments about the stamp as unique artifact rather than obsessing about obscure varieties - I can see that this might capture the passion of some collectors but unless a variety is very easy to spot and very common it doesn't end up in my album lol. What a fun book!

Sometimes I have almost the opposite problem - I'll by a single stamp, then decide I want more from the set... Then more... Then by buying them all individually I have spent more than if I just got the whole set at once to begin with! 😂Thanks for watching!

What a refreshing episode. I too have a similar collecting philosophy; I collect what I like and am not interested in the minutiae or watermarks or perforations. And as an added bonus, my son’s name is Conor and spelled the same way😉. I will definitely be looking to order his book!

An engaging interview. Thanks, Lisa! And what a wonderful book from an interesting and friendly person. Thanks Conor! I am sure it is going to introduce stamps to a very wide audience. Wonderful! I am a detail person. I did not yet venture into inverted watermarks and perforation differences, but I think I will be drawn to that, at least in some stamps. Will not make for an interesting book, though. 🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it! To each their own with stamp collecting. I know keeping track of all the small details like that would overwhelm me personally, but I can also understand the satisfaction of having all of the variations of a stamp and having a complete 'set' in that regard. Thanks for your comment!

Loved the interview! Unfortunately, it says on that canadian version of the famous online store (apparently, writing the name removes my comment) that the book is already temporarily out of stock. 😣 And it only came out a few days ago too!

I'm glad you enjoyed the interview! Conor is a funny guy, we had a great chat. I think because the book is printed on demand it says out of stock, but if you place an order they would print a copy and ship it. I never even knew 'print to order' books existed! Pretty cool, although I do wish stores could have and display a physical copy too. Thanks for watching as always!

Everyone collects what they want. If people want want to collect inverted watermarks great for them but not for me. I collect for fun and to me that would not be fun.

Same with me... Also I get 'annoyed' that there's usually only one spot for the stamp in a world wide album and nowhere to put the 'variety'! Thanks for watching 😊
