The camera felt so good for my eyes that I even had to grab my glasses just to enjoy the video. I liked seeing match 7 the most, both of you grappling each other is just plain satisfying. Somehow I missed this a few days ago.

The quality of this video is amazing, really appreciate this, and Angel Chernaev is a great fencer. Tho I have to point out some of the cuts are on the flat side, and strange the rule considers head vs knee strikes are double kill?
@AngelChernaevHistoricalFencing

Thank you, I am glad you like the video and my fencing. I don’t think there are many flats strikes in my play, but mistakes do happen. Each ruleset allows different options and this one focuses on not getting hit at all. There are no hits counted starting after a hit to the head.

nice work but some of those double hits are called way out of tempo. good fencing nevertheless though!
@AngelChernaevHistoricalFencing
Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes, some of those are not "double" in the more widely used sense. In our ruleset fencers had the opportunity to hit after being hit as well. The exchange ends only if there is a parry, second hit, break of distance, head hit or a wrestle/disarm/ring out.

@@ultimomos5918 thank you. I have been focusing on my thrusts in the last few months as I've previously been neglecting them too much. I am pretty happy with how most turned out.

Thank you, I’ve been focusing on thrusts and going for deep targets lately. Though my technical variety and focus did went down as the matches went on. In the playoff matches and elimination afterwards I am a bit of a one-trick pony(hopefully I will be able to post those one soon as well).

Yes, in the format we came up with each fencer had 9 pool fights. Then 40% got another 2 in playoff pools and then 4 went to semifinals and finals.

@@dequitem yes, later in the day when it gets darker, there appears a lot more noise, specially on the slow motion clips from my eliminations. But I have a couple of ideas how to adjust them and will upload them when I have the time to play around with it
