No mention of Gridpane? This is laughable. Obviously this video a ploy for Cloudways.

Cloudways is trash. I tried to sign up for them and their chat bot told me that I needed to email a passport or ID for verification. That's unsafe and pretty stupid.

It's because of your IP address. I had the same problem few years ago. Just turn off the VPN

I just moved to Cloudways and loving it. I am migrating all my systems from AWS to Cloudways and DigitalOcean and can say, I am happy with everything, from performance to security and reliability. It covers all my business needs day to day.

I'm glad they are allowing new customers to create servers on Vultr and Linode again. Since they reversed that decision and are making an effort to listen to customers, I am hopeful that they will continue to be a solid option for the right use cases. I have yet to find a true "alternative" and still have a Vultr instance on Cloudways for certain projects.

I don't understand... As a brand new customer to Cloudways, I can still choose Vultr servers. So did they backtrack that decision in the past 10 months?
@davidpouet1372

Yes, they faced so much backlash they decided to put Vultr and Linode servers back. It was a dumb move, they lost many clients and now people don't trust them. Also they randomly increase the price of servers. That's why i moved from them, 2 years ago, i created a 4GB vultr HF server, cost was $50 , everything included. Now they want $67 for the same server (the off-site backups cost extra) !

I tried cloudways and it worked for me but no longer a customer. The only problem I had was the PHP was not selectable per sites. It was a global configuration that would affect all sites if you changed on one. That was actually enough for me move away but the speed was epic!

Thanks Craylor🤗. Are you able to do a tutorial-on how to create a website with Cloudways? Like how you did with WP Engine and Elementor.

I am writing in March 2024 and can confirm your video. Unfortunately, after so many years I am leaving cloudways. I didn't expect that. It's really no longer viable. After digital ocean bought it they managed to ruin everything and the quality of support is disappointing now. They managed to ruin everything. Very sad. It really is a market case of how to ruin a service and lose customers. They are just focused on getting new customers and treat the old ones like trash. Its title says it all, love that turned into disappointment. The worst part is that I took so many clients to them and now I have soiled my name. I understand your case for still using it. It's not easy to migrate with so many active projects... but there are much cheaper options with higher quality. just time to go...

I suck but you’re asking my advice? 😂 I would stick to managed based on what you’re telling me. I recently started experimenting with InMotion’s Platform i. The panel needs some improvements, but they are actively working on it (just launched in August) and own their own server infrastructure, so it’s very affordable. Otherwise, DreamPress or Hostinger Business plan could work.
