My 84th song. I have used this melody twice before. I used it in a song about Kathy and a song about my elusive Farm Girl. To me, the three songs combined make up three acts, like in a good screenplay. The first song is the crisis, the song is the complication and third song is the conclusion -- the happy ending. I may not publicly post the other two songs since I use the ladies' real names and real photos.
[A] Deborah, Oh [Cmaj7] Deborah
when you [A7] came to the dance
[Dadd9] I knew I had to [Dadd9m] take my chance
Oh [A] Deborah, oh [Cmaj7] Deborah
[A7] What could I do
[Dadd9] I waited all my life [Dadd9m] for you
[A] Deborah, [E] oh Deborah my lovely [A] wife
[F#m] The second I first saw you I said [A] whoa!
E] I knew that I could never [A] let you go
[F#m] I’d hold you through the joy and the [A] pain
[C#m] We’ll never have to [Bm] be alone [A] again
Deborah, oh Deborah
When you said yes
I knew that I had won the best
Oh Deborah, oh Deborah
I hope I’ll be
The man you need me to be
Deborah, oh Deborah, my lovely wife
[F#m] The second I first saw you I said [A] whoa!
E] I knew that I could never [A] let you go
[F#m] I’d hold you through the joy and the [A] pain
[C#m] We’ll never have to [Bm] be alone [A] again
Deborah, oh Deborah
I’ll always be true
Unlike others that you knew
Oh Deborah, oh Deborah
You’re safe with me
You can set your heart free
Deborah, Oh Deborah, my lovely wife
