Sounds like some journey you went trough! Sucks your family didn't get to see you graduate for Basic Training or AIT

Covid would’ve been a disaster as a new soldier/marine/sailor/airman. It was annoying for me back in 2006/07, but that had more to do with my MOS. Why did you sign a 2 year contract in the first place? Just curious.

DUDE it was hella annoying man! I missed out on a lot of memorable moments like family day after graduating Basic, walking through the smoke and my first year in South Korea I couldn't even leave base for the most part. I signed a 2 year contract just to give me an option on if I wanted to pursue the military as a career or just a chapter in my life & use the benefits I received once I got out.
