On tonight's show: we play with some wiring, Brendan manages to not get electrocuted, and there might be rain... What could possibly go wrong?
In our series documenting the attempt(s) to repair many things in the fleet of Cliffjumper Cars, this is a short video showing the DIY procedure for tracking down a battery drain in a MK4 VW Jetta, and this process can be replicated with any other car so hopefully this helps some people!
The el cheapo multimeter is from Harbor Freight Tools, but you can use one from Amazon as well. Nothing expensive required.
Make sure to like, subscribe, and share if you are a car enthusiast who enjoys working on your own car as a shade tree mechanic or fellow grease monkey, or if you just enjoy watching the misery of trying to keep one of the most notoriously unreliable cars ever produced in running condition! Not even The Car Wizard, Johnny the Car Ninja, Hoovie or Tavarish would dare tackle the insanity of resurrecting a 200,000 mile Corrado VR6 at the same time as a vintage Fiat Spider as maintaining a 226,000 mile 1.8t Jetta!! But I'm a special kind of crazy.
If you have a Corrado, Fiat, Alfa, or some other weird quirky car that is a challenge to keep on the road, please share in the comments!
