Single mothers focusing on romantic partners are the reason for majority of childhood trauma. They give these men access to their children.

All single mothers aren't to blame. Obviously single women who are dating or even in serious relationship should always be careful of who they allow to be around their children. The men who commit these heinous acts on children however are to blame totally . They should be held accountable for their actions. Parents who abuse their children should be held accountable. Parents who are aware that their children have been or currently are being abused and refuse to do anything about it should be held accountable. I don't believe in making excuses for pedophiles or protecting them, as many families do.

I’ve heard a lot of stories about abuse and I’ve been through abuse myself but her story is the most horrific and it’s not just bc of what happened but bc of how aware she was at such a young age. My counselor told me that my attempt at 11 was extremely rare but someone attempting at 5 shows how horrific it was and how aware she was that this was wrong; children can’t usually verbalize what abuse is but they definitely can realize that something is wrong which can lead to the path that she took. Her case goes to show that ppl must absolutely give more credit to children’s voices bc when a child says something is bad and attempts to vocalize it something is really wrong and they need help to vocalize what’s happening and to heal. Her story of healing is amazing and I love that her and her brother are still healing together and fighting together.

This was so like my story except my brothers related to my abuser more than they related to their sister. They perpetuated the psychological and emotional abuse which continued constantly after I was fourteen and said 'no' to him for the first time. When my mother died our whole family fell apart because they had no way to interact with me except abusively. After many, many years of therapy with several different therapists, I've come to terms with being the one that gets blamed, and because that isn't acceptable anymore I no longer see anyone from my birth family.

It is well known that obesity, substances etc are sometimes responses to childhood trauma. In a way I wish this person would do some formal studies in psych., therapy etc. it is not the job of a child to figure out to help themselves, that is the job of parents/carers. Who catastrophically failed here.

I keep saying this on every one of these videos. But it’s the truth. Bobbie, I am devastated and heartbroken that so many people failed you. Your ability to speak out is admirable. I am horrified and disgusted that a Grown woman would defend her adult pedophile son by asking the parent of a 13 year old to return her child to said pedophile to resume an adult “relationship”. I am disgusted and saddened that so many legions of mothers put their habits and romantic partners before their kids; especially their daughters. It’s heartwarming to know that you and your brother are still leaning on one another throughout continued healing. From one survivor-author to another, congrats on your book! Maybe we can be case study buddies one day! 😄😄😄🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 AJ
