For as long as I can remember my parents taught me to look for the best in people. If I ever spoke ill of someone when I was a child, they would make me stand in front of a mirror so I could see the negativity ricocheting off me. It meant that, from very early on, I learnt not to judge people and to look for the good instead. As I discussed with @aaronsansoni recently, I think this is a very important quality in a leader too. You should always looks for the best in all your team. Don’t jump down their throats when they’ve done something wrong but praise them when they get things right. Positive reinforcement cannot be underestimated, in my mind. What’s type of leadership works best for you?
