Great video as always, Joe. I just tried this on my own and it's really good! The winning formula for me was a combination of the felt on the corners and one layer of label maker tape on the buttons and d-pad. The felt just made it a tad too stiff on the buttons for my liking but now it's perfect for me. Thanks again, you rock!

I did this on my RGB30 after seeing your video, and it was a big improvement! Great to see it works on this too, as I’d written it off for being too loud. I’m now tempted to try it on the RG ARC, since that’s been sitting in a drawer since I bought it because of the loud, echoey face buttons. The upstroke is louder on that too, and I had thought about using a tiny sliver of felt to cushion it but wasn’t sure it was possible. Good to see you got it working here! :)

The SP i got from amazon came with thin round felt pads on the L, R, volume, and power buttons. The one i got directly from Anbernic didn't come with it. So i put the same felt like yours on the dpads, shoulder, and face buttons on both devices. But not on the select, start, and menu. They dont just make it quieter, they shorten the throw and tightens the fit of buttons on the shell. I also put felt on my Retroid Pocket 3+ L2 and R2 buttons.

I don’t mind the clickyness I actually like it. Specially on the road, the abxy I did try the electrical tape mod just to make it feel softer. I tried it on the road and I found that if I play like pokemon games if I hit left or right dpad it would activate the up or down dpad which is annoying so I removed it. Plus like I said the like the clicking sound of the dpad. But I do think we need a mod that separates the chip from the battery and maybe add heat shielding/thermal paste
