I just picked up My New Honda Wave 110i from the garage today and rode it home. I think it's great, I much prefer riding the Honda Wave than my last bike,a Yamaha 125 YBR Custom.
I want to say a few words about this bike. I own one myself and it is my daily ride. I bought it brand new and now done 34 thousand miles in 5 years. I have done numerous long distance trips and it has never skipped a beat. I can get 76 miles per hour top speed or ride at under 50mph and get 160 a gallon. It feels like it runs smoother the further I go. It is ever so easy to repair and even fix punctures at the side of the road. I carry all sorts of loads on it. Good for off roading. Easy to handle. Lots of fun. It lives outside and always starts. I have owned all sorts of bikes and I would say, if you can cope with the uglyness then this is one of the best and most fun bikes out there to buy and ride and live with.

I have the Honda 125 Innova 9•2 Hp engine that does 60 mph on a good day with my weight of 17- 18 stone on it .Some small light riders have had 65 - 70mph on clock down hill with a following wind & caught in the slipstream of faster vehicles with their faces buried in the speedo clock .Your Wave is 110 with less horse power ,the only way it could possibly do 76 mph is if you launched it off a Cliff or in your dreams .You must have a faulty speedo or you have used nonstandard sprockets or different profile wheels or tyres as the speedo sensor is calibrated for the standard bike as it came out the factory .So if you have changed anything without making allowances for that standard speed sensor you will get false speed readings .Even when they are normal speedos give over optimistic readings by 5- 7 mph at speeds around 70mph ..The fuel injected wave is not as good as the Innova & cheaper build quality plus no inclosed chain guard & cheap painted exhaust pipe .The only benefit is tubeless tyres that can be plugged at side of road .But Innova & cub tyres are easy to take the tubes out & repair at the side of the road if you have the knack ,Also if you have done numerous long runs without stopping every 20- 30 miles or used full throttle continuously for more than the odd few miles ,the oil gets overheated & too thin causing your main bearings to turn in the crank cases causing crank shaft slop & totalling your engine .I would say if your bike has done 34 proper hard miles not kilometres the engine & clutch will be needing a good reconditioning pretty soon ,before it bites the dust .They only hold 0•8 litres of oil from dry & only filtered by a centrifugal mesh screen inside the engine ,that needs inspecting from time to time ,yours should of been done at least twice by now .

Great video - I have bought a new Wave and love it, although the engine is still new and probably a bit tight I have been getting around 188mpg. Another bonus - these small Honda engines have proved to be incredibly reliable and almost bomb proof over the years.

I have two 1970s Honda 400/4s which I love but I bought a brand new Wave in 2016 after a holiday in Cambodia where they're all over the place. I love it more than I could possibly have anticipated. It's far more fun to ride than bigger bikes, far more practical, and idiotically cheap to run. Aged nearly 60 now I find it much easier to manoeuvre as well. The only new vehicle I've ever owned, I change the oil far more often than the service schedule suggests to make sure it lasts indefinitely. The only issue is that they're so rare in the UK that service parts aren't that easy to get. And I wish the petrol tank had 30% more capacity. I've had a full bike licence since 1978 and this is the most all round useful motorcycle I have ever owned.

I really love Honda Wave 110, I bought it 2 years ago. It's easy to ride on, there's no clutch at all 'cause it is semi-automatic already. I am using it in my daily travel and it's a good thing too that it is a fuel-save motorcycle. I run it smoothly from 0 to 500km in 10 to 40kph the first time I used it and turned from 10kph to 80kph right after my 500km ratio. So well-balanced and running so smooth.

Good video, dont forget to take t easy on the first 500km and when you change the final ratio you can put the bike running smooth at 80 kmph wish is great for one 110cc.. It will not go from 0 to 100kmph in 2 seconds but will go from 0 to 100km with 2 liters =)

+EasyWay I changed the front sprocket to 16 and left the rear one original. The little machine is now much more "grown up" to drive. Very smooth at 80 km/h. I liked the Viedo very much but I can recommend one thing: Be careful wen downshifting and releasing the clutch, on wet grounds and corners you could easily fall down. Release it smoothly and downshift only at low speeds.

The Honda Wave is a lovely bike! I bought mine about 8 months ago, and I have fallen in love with it. It is nicely balanced, easy to ride, and it's fuel consumption is great! It needs about one full gas tank per approximately 150km. Thats like 4 euros worth of gasoline. I use it almost every day for small trips in town, and it is very agile. I have yet to take it ol a longer journey, so I can't tell you how comfortable it is on longer trips. Other than that, it is great!! Also, question: What is the first song of the video? It is lovely.

First what country are you in? Great looking town. I'm guessing Australia. Good video. I enjoyed it quite a lot. I have this exact same bike. The fuel injected model is the best. I bought mine here in Vietnam. It's a 2022 Honda wave RSX. I have 14000 km on it now and I love it. If it's ok I would love to give you and all wave owners a couple small bits of advise please. First upgrade your chain and sprockets as soon as you can to a better sealed chain. It's an inexpensive upgrade and well worth it because the stock chain sucks so much. Second, if you're already doing this then good for you but....learn to rev match the engine with the transmission while down shifting. It will add years to your clutch plates. It's easy to do. When you're down shifting, before you let up on the shift lever, rev the engine to match the gearbox. Your downshifts will be so much smoother. It doesn't take long to master this. Your clutch will thank you.

Had an anf and had to take chain off every 4 months and soak in diesel even with chain guard. Belt drive superb. Very easy change too if got electric socket gun. Can change ratios to by putting heavier rollers in. My xmax 250 would cruise comfortably at 70mph after I put 2g heavier rollers and I didn’t really notice acceleration difference. Never have a chain by choice again. Also the front disc on the anf gets any friction slows it to 35 mph.

Have you logged the mpg yet? Honda claim 160mpg. Your bikes transmission is manual with an automatic clutch on this bike. The centrifugal clutch engages when the engine is revved. The clutch is released when you press the gearlever up or down and then the clutch re engages when the gearlever returns to its resting position and the bike is moving. This type of bike is a semi automatic.
