Hi…hospital lab worker. You can’t get instant results on cultures or rare virus testing. It’s not possible. Blood cultures take 5 days to grow bacteria and result. If you have a virus that’s not flu, COVID, or RSV that is send out testing that can take weeks to result. It is not malpractice, it’s reality. Hospitals are huge petri dishes, often the quick discharge of healthy patients is done to prevent hospital acquired infections. It’s much safer at home in most cases. This story is a tragedy, but it wasn’t medical malpractice.

My little girl was sick one morning( she was 7yrs. old) When I got to her Pediatrician' office, the Dr.took one look at her, picked her up, and started running down the halls with her. Hid office was adjacent to the hospital. When he got the the Pediatric floor, he screamed for help. Every Nurse, Dr. was in her room; as I was also. Her Dr. screamed at me" get her blood pressure " I said, Dr. I can't. I'm her mom. Her Dr. immediately told a Nurse to ger me put of the room. When I saw my daughter's Dr. again, he told me" to prepare myself. I knew what he meant. I laid on the hospital. floor and said, " God, if you want her, you can have her, but you have to go through me 1st. My daughter had Bacterial Meningitis. The staff, the Dr's. no one thought she would make it. By the grace of God, she made it. Today she is my healthy child with 1 Sonos her own. She went into the medical field, perhaps to tell her story if never give up.

She is absolutely beautiful and so are you. I am so so sorry that happened to you. Perhaps it was COVID or something thereof? I totally understand about viruses lurking in hospitals and I really don't think they know how to eradicate them. I had a surgery and wasn't closed up properly and as a result ended up with an infection. It was on my spine. So I was opened and cleaned back up a month later. But this is about you and I don't know where you are, but my thoughts are with you and how but wrenching this is for you but, you have more children or child and a husband that needs you and I'm sure that they feel disheartened too, so you all find a strength in each other. Love one and other and if you believe maybe you can pray to God for assistance. I pray for you, Amen 🙏🏻🥰🕊️

Happened to my cousin in the early 90s.. Drs & nurses told her she didn’t know what she was talking about being a new mother and laughed at her when she was telling them her baby was sick… finally the fever spiked so high they had to admit him… after a week old. once the diagnosis was confirmed they told her to institutionalize him because he’d be blind, deaf, never walk, talk etc… she refused to listen to them and her son talks (although not well, but understandable) can hear but is blind.. will never walk and had his legs broken every year to prevent them from atrophy, he’s wheelchair bound of course. My cousin won a lawsuit against the hospital & Drs in Reno but still had to go before the judge to get funds every few yrs for a new wheelchair etc. She’s fine with that.. because she wants every dime to go towards his care if God forbid something happens to her. Soon after that time period of his birth it became the norm for strep B testing universally at least here in the states. I myself tested positive and I was scheduled for a Csection. It is such a simple test and no reason for a Dr to deny any mother it.

She was born with Cornelia De Lange syndrome. She had very serious behavior problems, and had to have 24/ 7 supervision and care. I got the call at 10pm that she was in a coma on life support. She had severe trauma to her brain and had a major heart attack. I can't go into specifics, but..we are suing the group home. Her neurologist said she would never wake up. I had to make the hardest decision of my life. I'm still in shock And totally heart broken. I pray 🙏 you find peace and God bless you. ❤

I know. That office is nuts. My mother worked as an ER nurse and they said everything, anything and even nothing with a newborn is considered an emergency and is triaged first. I think it was 8 weeks (maybe 12) and under was considered an automatic emergency. When I had my daughters (now 34& 30) the pediatricians didn't want us to go to the ER without them on any child any age. We called them and they would meet us at the ER. That was for a 9 year old or a 9 month old, but they were especially protective of the newborns. Now pediatricians take no responsibility for their patients whatsoever. I have a friend who mixed up a bottle of pumped breast milk with her friend's formula. She realized her mistake almost immediately, and pulled the bottle out but her daughter's face turned red and starting swelling. She drove to a Doc in the Box with her baby in her lap and left her car running at the entrance. The doctor was running toward her before she could get a few feet in the door. They saved her life without even asking her name. Who turns away any newborn?
@pippadawg7037
Ай бұрын
@@rubytuesday1316 But there are no excuses for not fitting in any newborn and for telling her it was probably nothing. Newborns are always an emergency. Pediatricians are trained to worry when Mom is worried. That was medical malpractice. I hope she sues. It won't bring back Danny but it will make them accountable. That was heartless. Mom Roam, I am so sorry. What happened to you was horrible. My mother lost a child. She was 17 but it shattered her. I have seen the pain and suffering. Keep your other children close and protect them from those who would exploit the situation. I saw that too. God bless you.

So sorry to hear this. Thankful for the woman in the waiting room that sent you to a good hospital. As a mother and a retired RN it is incomprehensible that the doctor's office wouldn't see her as it sounds like you weren't the kind of person that called the doctor for every little thing. Mothers know their child even if you have had them for only a few days. I remember being with a group of women when my first child was 4 months old. He was being really fussy, etc. I told the woman that I thought he was teething and they all laughed at me. His tooth was there the next morning! Certainly not what you went through but when your child isn't acting right, you KNOW. It was the social worker's job to investigate something like this, but you in no way had anything to do with your dear babies death. And you did everything in your power to get her help. May God heal your heartache.

What a horrible heartbreaking scenario 😭😭😭. I am so sorry for your loss that is the most worse thing that could happen to parents 💔💔💔💔💔... But be sure your little sweetie knew that she was loved and she will be in your heart and in your life forever.... My sister lost her first son through a normal cold with four months. It was so devastating and nobody could believe that it really happened... He probably catched that virus at the doctor and he had a simple cold... What nobody knew was that a simple cold could cause a disease named Zytomegalie... If you catch it normally nothing special happen but he was just four months and that disease went into the lungs and there are many many little bubbles filled with oxygene and the virus let them burst and causes bleeding... The world is often unfair and mean and nobody can understand why former healthy babys are dying.... I hope you and your family went together through that tragedy...

It’s very sad that they throw you out out of the hospital so soon. Doctors don’t make that decision insurance companies do.

💔💔💔💔My Heart truly breaks for you and your Family! Dani looks just like you, Mom! Please know 2 things...1. You did not do anything wrong. 2. Dani is not on Earth, but she STILL LIVES in Heaven! I have lost 2 Children, and I truly believe they are alive and well, and we will meet again! Keeping you all in my Prayers! 💓

So very sorry. I lost my 23 year old son to cancer. It doesn't matter how old they are. They're still your baby and grief is unbearable. 💔

What does that even mean? I imagine not much of anything, as it’s dead now, per transcript.

I know it's been a year but is there any way you can ask to see if other parents had experiences like yours where you gave birth
