I recreated over-the-air broadcast television the way I remember it from my childhood. In this video, I'll wax nostalgic about the old-days and then show you how I built this simulator and talk about how it works.
I use a Raspberry Pi 5, a Raspberry Pico, an old aerial rotator box and some custom code to create an accurate simulation of TV in the late 70s and early 80s.

If you want to make your own, you'll need to build your own content library, since that part of the project is not being distributed for copyright issues.
This project was originally inspired by a KZitem video where a guy recreated cable television from the 90s. I found the video, but its been deleted. This is real shame, because it was a big inspiration to me.
