Hi! It's Goddess of Mercy's birthday, or also known as Guan Yin Dan 观音诞, weekend. And as with past years, I celebrated by helping out at the shrine. It's a pity the medium said this year's celebration / event will be scaled down from 3 days to 1 days... But that said, I totally knocked out the next day and missed my Japanese class just from 1 day of volunteering work. LOL.
And I apologise this weekend vlog took so long. The editing was wayyyyy harder than expected. And I'll be honest... I did question myself while editing. But I pushed through because religion is an integral part of my life. In fact, I was reflecting and realised I don't share much of this part of me. Not even to my friends. And it's because I struggle to explain what Taoism is except for "I don't eat beef". 😅 I tried to be as accurate as I can, but this video is by no means to educate. Just sharing by showing how we celebrate. The less seen religious side of Singapore? 😊
