We have followed you and watched your videos for a while now. You put out some awesome videos. Thank you for the knowledge. We have access to plants that have been cloned and cycled through over and over for years. Some of these strains date back to the 60s. We hope to utilize tissue cultures to keep and store these heirloom strains long term and in the safest and most reliable method of storage.

I'm using trichomes from various plants to see if the disk cells can be coaxed back from dormancy. You can harvest large numbers of trichomes parent plant, and then uses tissue culture techniques to grow potentially thousands of plants from the trichomes obtained from the 1 parent plant.

@@PlantCellTechnology www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2735316/ I'm trying w/ hemp and herbs. Anything w/ glandular trichomes. I'm getting contamination issues that keep me from going further. I think this is a good candidate for testing out alginate encapsulated plant embryos. :)

Hello, I’m not a commercial grower or seller, I have my personal plants that have gotten sick and contaminated. I want them to be diseases free. Do you have any videos to make formulas for that? Also I know it’s advance but I do this as a hobby. I grow and I have mother plants. I only grow plants for my mental health as a combat veteran. I hope you can understand not all of us here want to profit but just to learn.

Hey Francisco- I am trying to save a cannabis strain that has been cloned over and over again for several years. Do you know if there is a company in California we can hire to help us do this? Or must I learn to do this myself?

I have plants we have clones over and over for over 20 years now. The oldest clone in the inventory rite now is probably 35 years old easy. I also help bring strains back. How bad is your plant your trying to clone and save or bring back to full health?

Also, your earlier question. I know someone who has had a 90s Maui Mom going for a few years now. She is a monster that he keeps cutting back. Hahaha I cycle through my clones faster, only leave big moms as moms for a few months. So the question of how long would be more dictated on how she was kept and maintained during the time.

@@PlantCellTechnology One last question, is it possible to use a still air box gloves to work instead of massive laminar flow hood, that would be more realistic in my miniature flat with dogs/ snakes/ dust. I used to work in cactus farm long time ago I might try apply your eco breaking bad techniques for something.

@@RusticRaver Tissue culture needs complete aseptic condition. so, first, you need to prevent your pets from entering your working area. Second, if you do not have a laminar flow hood, try keeping a cubical box as your working area and an air filter to clean the air in your culture room. Always wipe the using alcohol before starting your in vitro process in it.

Not sure about Francisco. But, coconut milk has been sued by many labs to replace synthetic hormones and reduce the cost associated with the tissue culture process.

Why not use PGR for tissue culture for propogation?? Wouldnt it help produce roots faster
@PlantCellTechnology
2 жыл бұрын
PGRs are used in tissue culture. They help in the shoot and root development of the plants. Thus, of course, they are necessary for the process.
@NagashiChidorii
2 жыл бұрын
@@PlantCellTechnology yes but in this case you mentioned you dont need it for root development because it will do it on its own. Wouldnt including it help produce it faster and thicker or more root sites?
@PlantCellTechnology
2 жыл бұрын
@@NagashiChidorii It's a nice question you've asked. Yes, PGRs would make plants multiply and root quicker, but we also have to work with the regulations. However, some PGRs are considered pesticides in some states and can’t be used in Cannabis. And in tissue culture, suitable PGR is necessary to use.
