I recently discovered metal mint tins because my country doesn't really sell mints in tins that open that way, they're from the side so it's not really reusable to store paints but I love them so much. I understand why so many people buy them now for travel kits! And the pill case, I do that too! I usually tend to go for cutesy things so I found a 6 cell one with cute animals on them for palettes such as the split primary. Ive never seen those bead containers!! They're really useful with the curved wells - I shall try that one day! Such a fun video watching all the storage ideas. ❤❤

Hi! Great collection! I’m going to show this video to my husband when he starts to point out that I don’t need any more paints! Just like my quilting. A good quilter always has a lot of fabrics and scraps and rulers for every need as well etc. A sewing room looks like a quilt shop and so must a watercolor artist’s studio should look like one too! And don’t forget, a somewhat messy work space is a sign of a great artist, just like a building contractor’s shop, not too far from here, only more so! 😉

I’m an expert on mess. Lol I always say that I’m a collector and this is my hobby. It’s the one thing I’ve got. So supporting a part of you that is big is important. I hope you husband understands this is a passion! Haha xxoo ❤️

Nicki Montie Yes! I’d still be using mine if I hadn’t expanded my colors. It got a lot of use for only $1.99 😊👍

Loved this video. I’m always looking for new ideas for storing my paints or unusual palette ideas. I’ve been lucky looking at second hand tins that are just the right size, not too deep nor too shallow. I use half pans for now, saving up for a porcelain palette that has room for mixing colors and LOTS of spaces for paints. You’ve given me inspiration once again! 🎨Annie

That's such a beautiful collection of tins and palettes. The Van Gogh ones are precious! (I actually have similar ones on my wish list - do they work well for you?)

thanks. I like that transon palette for gouache, but it seems like it is too deep to be practical for me. I will keep my eyes peeled for something with wells that are a bit more shallow. thanks for all your great videos. we work similarly, so it is nice to get your opinions on things. take it easy

Yes, you're right Transon is a little too deep, but if you find something comparable please come on back and tell me the secrets! lol also, I'd love to see your stuff!

Oh my, that's a tough one. I did a video about this last year, but my findings are inconclusive. If I had to be pressed to choose just one to take with me somewhere, I'd reach for my White Nights or Daniel Smiths or Lukas 1862's. They are my top 3 only because they all do well with travel after you put them in half pans or a palette and you don't have to work to pick them up on a wet brush when dry and they don't stay sticky in the pan, they dry well. I'm still trying more paints, I have not had them all yet, but so far, this is it. :)

Thanks for your quick reply. Where do you order your White Nights from? Jackson’s? Is the postage reasonable?
