Going to the effort of freeing that calf just shows how much of a legend you are. So knowledgeable and respectful of the environment as well. Hopefully the farmers bordering these creeks can come to the realisation that they should look after their water sources and not let their animals fall in, or let the banks get covered with rubbish. I fish an inner city creek sometimes and don't see as much trash, unfortunately when I do its often from other fishermen. Good to think that the majority of us actually have that respect for the waterway though

that is one lucky calf, that rescue will give you some good karma, pretty sad the state of western sydney waterways, work is being done but its not enough and there isnt enough funding, to fix it would cost millions, the creeks need volunteers and people to teach them

Great video. Love your early spring videos! How do you know where you can and can't fish along these creeks? They look like they are running through peoples properties? Any tips for how we can access some of these areas?
@WindsorBaitAndTackle

Start with bridges, there easier access and big tips is to talk to the property owners so they know who you are.

Farm owners need to be disposing of dead anmals and not leaving them to rot into waterways. Lucky there's no Bull sharks in that creek, or the smell and innards would attract them.

Sorry @windsor bait and tackle… but you can not call yourself a fisherman if you have no respect for carp… You say they aren’t native to australia… neither are you… it’s ancestors came mid 1800s… maybe long before yours did. Should you be thrown on the bank? Killing carp will not eradicate them.
@larrylongprong5219

I’d fly all the way to the uk, catch a massive mirror carp and leave it on the bank for you to find.

@@larrylongprong5219lol. You better not get caught over there doing that or it might be you lying dead on the bank. Either that or you'd be in court receiving a fine. You'll also find that those big carp over there are nowhere near as easy to catch as the baby ones over here. Personally, I prefer catching Bass
