No knife here. At the point of time when I took this video, I carried a flashlight in a pouch on the waist belt. But recently I noticed that a flashlight should be carried in my pants pocket to deploy it faster. So now I EDC a flashlight from my collection of some turbo headed and some cylinder shape lights which are all powerd by 1 x 18650. Thanks.

The crime rate is extremely low here. But there is a small number of outlaw people called Yakuza or future Yakuza. The point is not going to the place they live. Open places in day time are extremely safe here. Trains are also safe because they don't take a train. They are basically lazy. Thanks.

We have a very strict knife law and a minor offense law here. The knife low forbids us to own over 6 inch blade and to carry over 2 inch blades and the ones with a blade lock. Even the Swiss army locking mechanism is illegal here. Under 2 inch blades are covered by the minor offense law. Ridiculously some Japanese customs office stopped the import of the tactical pens and Benchmade is now claiming to Japanese government. Tactical flashlights are okay so far. Thanks.

Flecktarn: The shoulder pieces is where you have to put your rank signs, when you're in the german military. In boot-camp - and until you're promoted to private first rank - you're wearing no rank signs at all, meaning you're a private or "Schütze-Arsch" as called by the common soldiers. But whatever the rank, all soldiers are wearing a small coloured piece of cloth around the shoulder flaps. The colour distinguishes the categorie of weapons they serve in...(communications, infantry, etc.).

Looked it up because I didn't know either.

Is there a high crime rate in Japan? It seams that the Japanese people for the most part are very moral and love their neighbors and family and care for/help others. Here in the US morals have disappeared, crime/murder is skyrocketing. America is not such a good place anymore. I wish I had the means to move to Japan.

Those straps can be used to carry a rifle. They were traditional for this and for decorations. If you want to carry a rifle you need to fold up some cloth and put it under the strap, at that point you can shoulder your rifle and it shouldn't slip from your shoulder when hunting
