Mad love Keira, it's been two months since I've committed to regular workouts, and what surprises me most is my newfound eagerness to hit the gym. Its a great outlet for releasing pent-up emotions and shedding negativity. My body wanting to be sore is quite a sensation. This was also my reminder to hit gym today lol.

Nature has the best gym on the planet….. embrace it. Built my small 3 different bags boxing gym in my backyard. Need a rope to climb & a pull up bar yet for core workout. Plus there’s less ignorant people, less germs & you can get a suntan for free 😅 Shoutout from Central Fl

training for powerlifting / bodybuilding is the best thing i've ever done: the goal is to get bigger/stronger. the reason is because working out makes me feel confident and helps me be more emotionally stable throughout the week. never confuse the goal with the REASON.

My unsolicited lifting advice for men and women: 1. Eating enough is most people's bottleneck. EAT ENOUGH FOOD. 2. Lift the weights SLOWLY with extra focus in the ecentric movement. 3. Full range of motion during lift and DEEP stretch on the lowest part of the movement. 4. Protein (yes) 5. Sleep (no sleep, essentially no gains) 5. Ask others for help with technique (gym people are friendly) 6. Lastly, hanging from a bar or branch at home for 1min a day helps your grip strength/correct your posture/decompress your back/ aligns your shoulders.

Jumping rope is my favourite exercise. it can be intense and low impact. I like lifting too. I regret losing my dumbels and barbells when i moved. I'll instead go to the gym.

If youve never been to the gym and you perhaps want to go, just go. I know its hard, it was hard for me too, but I one day I said, Im not gonna wait for anything or anyone and just went by myself (its been 3 years and still going). Understand that no one is judging you, imo people are actually happy to see someone working on themselves and improving. If you don't know what to train when you get there, use the machines that youve seen someone using. Don't make it a long workout, half an hour is fine. You can even ask someone how to use a certain machine and I promise you, they will happily explain it, and you can even make a friend like I did on my first day.

Hey great video, Keira. You are exactly right. Outdoors, also. Do not be afraid to go to a soccer field, football field. Do a 25 minute conditioning full body workout, with no weights. You can do windsprints, light jogs, abs, mountain climbers, scissor kicks...take a rock with you, literally carry it the length of the football field, then sprint back...so much stuff. And never worry what anyone thinks, because most who are driving by and saying "look at that"....they wish they were able to do that, you get better. Mentally and physically. You can reinvent yourself everyday. Put in some great bangers in your headphones, jog the soccer field, around the sidelines, behind nets, for 7, 8, 9, 10 songs...I am telling you , you will feel good. You have your own gym. Outside. Inside, yeah, find a gym where you feel comfortable. Forget the steroid folks, those there for the show...I always say, when I go in , I may not be the strongest, but I am gonna out work anyone. Kinda a little competition for self...and start small, write it down, this is all for you. You will begin to see yourself differently. I LOVE your attitude, Keira, you are even giving me the extra motivation I needed!!!so ty :)

Our bodies are designed to adapt. Sore muscles mean they have micro tears from straining them. The body reacts by adding muscle tissue to prevent the injury from happening again and over time of doing this the muscle gets stronger and larger.

Hi Keira, I've mentioned before I was a pro boxer (now in IT, how's that for a contrast) and I don't actually work for a gym but I help out some of the kids there. There's actually a girl I work with there about a year older than you who's very good but will probably never really box a day in her life, she just likes the workouts. I'm the only one she'll spar with because I just "tap" her with the glove to show someone could have hit her. Yes I believe conditioning is very important also, and I think joining a gym is good thing because you are more likely to workout and yes find a gym where people actually care about your goals, good point. If you like, you could purchase a punch bag for your home. A free standing one might be ideal. This way you can get a feel of boxing, before you join a boxing club. Another good workout is to use a tonfa - side arm baton and / or an escrima stick onto a punch bag. It's a good stress reliever too.

I love my gym here in the uk. Top class equipment, helpful staff and great atmosphere all of which help with my motivation. There are also tonnes of sexy looking women too.

The gyms I avoid are the crowded ones. Why? I hate waiting plus I feel rushed when people are waiting on me. Being rushed makes me prone to injury. Crowded gym classes are even worse. The air is stale, music is too loud, and embarrassing when I can't keep up. And a huge reason I join a gym is to enjoy their smoothies before and after a workout. LOL!

Honestly, who needs a gym?There are so many less redundant,more enjoyable everyday activities that can whip you into shape.And you may have a physical job that does that for you if you go at it hard.Also, your own body is all you need to get in great shape.Callastenics (not sure if I spelled that right) but yeah, situps,pushups, jumping jacks, lots of exercises that require no equipment.I got in best shape of my life with just my own body some dedication.So not a fan of the gym, personally,but what is for me is not for you.

Out door Cat - but my days at College we had Gyms / Indoor Tracks - it was different - and I lack those muscle machines hitting balls does only so much - but I will never go back inside - winter or summer spring or fall - you smell it and live it

90% + of gym goers just go through the motions and never make any real progress because they train like idiots or train far too soft you get out what you put in and most put it in very little. I only go to a small gym near my village but out of everyone that goes top 1% in strength and top 10% for cardio because most people don't break a sweat. Focus and train hard people.

The gym where i used to Go was like grand central station. I expected to make Some workout buddies but no one ever noticed me. Plus, The muscle guys that worked there were like a mafia, u had to tip toe around them and heavens forbid u try and use equipment at the same time as them. The worst was this young, hunky guy who literally walked away from the equipment for 5 minutes and i, hoping to get rid of my arm wings, eagerly took my chance and starting doing a few repetitions at a very low weight i could Handle. Long story short this same hunky guy wearing a grotesque shirt which said “i like protein shakes, lifting and bleeping your girlfriend” comes back and dressed me down in front of everyone for ignoring the presence of his gloves, which in his narrow little mind was tantamount to retaining possession of the equipment. So i walked away with my tail between my legs and made sure from that day onward to always hide In the lockerroom If i ever saw that same horrible man again.

And how they think others will observe this outer image will influence how they see themselves. The ultimate goal, the generic body type. If the priority goal is happiness , so much time is spend inefficiently. Because for the quest of happiness fixing inner real inner issues or developing inner qualities would be so much better.
