@wealthcreationlabs
5 ай бұрын
No. Make sure your social media account is curated for a “target audience”. For example, who’s your demographic? Busy moms, Gamers, Fantasy Lovers, etc. For example, if you have a Instagram that’s mostly of your food pictures and you try to sell “Mother’s Day shirts with flowers on it”… it won’t sell…but maybe one with tacos 🌮 or other foods since a food-based IG would mostly attract foodies. You can probably get your friends and family to purchase and leave you your first reviews tho.

From my experience, selling shirts via social media comes down to building a relationship with customers. Using Placeit and putting together some cliche mock ups won't work because people don't have a bond with your brand. What will work, is showing your prospect clients who you are, what you have to offer, and the work/story behind it. Try asking viewers what designs they would buy, then make a video of you making the shirt, or unboxing the finished shirts, then make a fun ad and show where people can buy them. It's all about interaction.

Ur one of the channels inspiring me to look into online side hustles. Thanks ! I started learning and cataloguing and keeping a log/ journal for brainstorming and learning, business plan / branding creation, and eventual launch, but doing so slowllllllyyy having fam and full time job with limited attention span is favouring me breaking it down into hourly slots of work and tackling it in spurts spaced over a year - Then wanting to convert journey to video (short form content) but, again, another apprehension area)… Lots to learn but am happy to watch ur YT journey Bro, you’ve been shortlisted as a key influence to my new mindset! ✊

I requested a shop critique for my POD shop on Etsy and all the mean people there replied that there was nothing on the store that was allowed on Etsy, even though I had designed the art printed on the products. They also argued that POD does not qualify as ‘handmade” which is shows how little they about art. I want your opinion on this because they threatened to shut down my store. I am never requesting a critique online anymore. They are there to shut down the competition, IMO.

... you're in a Saturated market there bud. Print on demand T-shirts is being done by HUNDREDS of people. How much demand do you think there is. Find a better product with a less saturated market.
@TheUnholyPosole
2 жыл бұрын
It's not saturated. You see it too much like supply and demand. People buy shirts because: A) they want to support B) they like the design C) they don't want to go to a retail store Even people that already know someone that's got a t-shirt business going will generally buy from you if you give them a reason.
@Dominik189
2 жыл бұрын
@@TheUnholyPosole >it's not saturated >you see it too much Do you know what saturated means? It absolutely is saturated, there is more supply than there is demand. You might get the occasional purchase from people who want to support or if you MAYBE have a specific design they like, but that is a serious minority of people. Aiming for the market that just might like your design or counting on your charisma to get people to want to support you, is not smart business. There's a reason that most who do print on demand t-shirts, mostly do them as a secondary or even tertiary source of income in the form of merchandise for an already established brand or business. And even those people don't see a lot of money from it.
