Hi and thanks for the settings . Is your tv an VA ( MVA ) panel ? I have 58pus8556 and tried your settings. It looks great but I have to better try them with movies or tv shows , since I have no ps5 or xbox ( only retrogaming with dreamcast and first xbox or max till xbox 360) . My panel looked trash from the box , with blueish or reddish or greenish image on darker scenes , and almost impossible to see details . Now it seems good at first use ( I only tried on avatar with hdr) . I also found an excel document with some calibration settings for philips 2021 (pus8556 or others) VA panels but I have to also try them . I found it on Av forum thread that discuss the calibration of this panel . I also want to ask you what do you press on the remote to have the picture settings bar ? I have to go by all the panels to reach the full settings menu on mine

My settings are great, on normal TV watching I recommend lowering the colour to 80 and turning off colour enhancement on is a safer bet for TV watching, if were talking movies, I have a diffirent setup on the movie preset, its identical to the settings in the video but the black level is on 44 instead of 55, to fix black level raide in most tv series.

Sorry but for UE model its 0/-2 or 4 gamma ? Im confused. I want to test your settings on the pml9008 , Idon't know if it's a good idea but hey let's try. Edit: and I don't know why but but for me , the tv keep reseting the B offset of the withepoint alignment 20 point to -8. and only the b offset. Weird.

Sound like a weird issue, but Philips tvs are weird 😂👍 +4 makes the image transitions from bright to dark (darker) whice is better for color reproduction but will make shadows darker. This is the setting I use in SDR, but in HDR I use the brightest option -4

@@EverythingPS5Pro Hey , I'm back again. I just figured it out. If I couldn't set the B-offset to -15 on the 20 point, it's because it automatically adjusts according to what I set on the G offset If I set -8 on the G then the b offset will also be -8. So if I want -15 on the B, I have to set -15 on the green too .... Is it better to put -8 on both or -15? Or is it better not to touch the offsets at all , sSorry for the tricky questions but your video is the most usefull for me and my tv model.

@@luxurywealthymind7154 the Philips series tvs aren’t mainstream, so most of the world do not grade or even try to calibrate these tvs, so if you want a real TV in the future i’d go for a LG C-series TV (OLED) or a Samsung OLED like S95C.

@@TheDarkKnight201 then if HDR is your primary goal, I would recommend u to lower the black level or highten it depending on the content it self. an LG OLED could do this for you and adjust automatically but for us LCD users its a bit of a hassle to use HDR. Its even fake HDR if you put your time into learning about it. Real HDR has a module inside of the TV and it also “kinda” has to be an OLED to really give you that insane contrast and POP! I personally use pretty low settings on my hdr settings and kinda care more about true dark (black levels) that are more correct looking to the eye when watching movies. You will never be without some level of black level raise and still have deep blacks on movies. Almost all movies are dark grey instead of black so you have to force it darker and lose some small insignificant details. Otherwise buy and OLED. Highest Gamma possible Brightness auto adjust mode And low black level and then check out all your favorite movies and look at the dark scenes and adjust so that it looks great in all movies and all scenes.
