More than what you have, I like how you bring those things together. You have all available equipment already installed on your rigs, and they are working all together :D this is insane but really nice to watch!

Awesome rigs! You went all out from the VR to the monitors, motion platform, rig accessories, lighting, and also not to mention flight hardware. Whew! Enjoy yourself, its very well put together!

Hey - I went with a free standing 3 monitor stand from Next Level Racing. No one that is attached to the rig.

Sooo How much motion would you like with your sim? "Yes"

Awesome set up. Do you find the butt kickers necessary along with the RS ultimate? Im currently researching motion and seen post about the RS series not being good at haptic feedback.

I like its haptics to be honest. I am replacing all my current buttkickers with the buttkickers gamer pros and i will check if it improves the experience or not. To be honest, someone mentioned to me that they removed their buttkickers after installing the rs ultimate.

Hey brotha, thanks for the rundown. Getting back into sim racing after years and doing a fresh build. Definitely want motion, and head is spinning between D-Box, PT Actuator, DOF Reality and a custom solution. Looks like eRacing Lab is cheaper than most of the 4 actuator setups. Is there any downside I’m not seeing here? Under $3k for a 4 actuator setup seems almost too good to be true. I was budgeting for closer to $6-7k. Even more importantly, like you I’m trying to build a hybrid rig for both racing and space sims. The setup you have with the flanking sticks/throttles is perfect. Do you have a recommendation for getting those extra pieces of extrusion? I was looking into MonsterTech and other shops, but again too many options. I’m not concerned with cost so much as getting something that works and is customizable. For the red parts of the frame, this just a vinyl wrap?

I have not tested any other full motion platform yet so really cannot advise which one is best. All I can say is I am not sure what other platforms will give you compared to what you get from eracing lab. I feel every bump and motion is spot on as long as you tweak it correctly from srs. For the Aluminum extrusions, I got them from framingtech.com and cut myself at home based on my needs. For the red paint, I actually spray painted them matte red :)

@@simul8master yeah, it’s funny. Right after this comment I watched all of your other vids and you pretty much answered all of the questions I had. eRacing Lab being DIY makes a lot of sense. Definitely going to add them to my list. I already have the tools I need to get that work done, including a paint sprayer. The matte red was a great choice. Looks fantastic. Will reach out to framing tech come time to do the build. Appreciate the reply. Will sub for more. Very interested in any other custom/DIY builds you might do on the channel.

I have the NLR f-gt elite 160 rig, and I got the NLR free standing triple monitor stand like yours. However, monitor stand width is narrower than rig, hence stand is way far away from the driver. Did you face the same problem?
@simul8master

I did. If you are going for the whole package TL and Surge, your rig will sit higher and even if the stands are narrow it wont matter.

Eventually I will add motion components as well. For now home depot visit and some DIY I made the stand wider. On your current setup, how high the monitors stand from floor and how far are they from driver’s eye? point?

with 4080 you have 3 DP and 1 HDMI, but C#s are all HDMI. How do you connect GPU to TVs? what resolution do you play at? What frame rates and VRR refresh range do you get with these TVs? Any issue of getting 4K 120HZ VRR range from 40-120Hz?
@simul8master

Hey brother - you are right. I do not use the HDMI port on the 4080. What I did is bought 3 Monoprice 8K Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable and 3 DisplayPort 2.0 to HDMI 2.1 (DP to HDMI) Active Adapter (make sure it is 2.0 not 1.2). With this setup, I get 4k 120hz with no issues.

@@simul8master does variable refresh rate work or locked at 120hz? I see struggles to get gsync or free sync to work.

Does the seat mover hit any flight controls when the full seat motion is on?

It does not. There is enough space for the seat mover to move around without hitting anything.
