It was a little difficult making the decisions, but these rules helped.

I donated a ton of materials to our homeschool group. I too had duplicates. Downsizing is still a work in progress. I found that I held on to some guilt over certain things for either not using or finishing them.

I eventually gave away, sold or donated all my curriculum from when I homeschooled my children, however I wish I'd saved some...as now I am homeschooling my grandchildren. So many new materials available now...I have purchased way too much...mostly to see what they were like...I'm in the process of curating...having trouble finding places to donate. I agree with you about selling...if you are not making a certain amount, it is NOT worth your time, energy and sanity!!

Great advice! I will add that I saved curriculum for my youngest, and I have realized that by the time it gets to him, it will be outdated OR he learns in a totally different way. So, I have ended up getting rid of most of the stuff I kept. There is a 7-year age gap between them. ~ Misty

@@apologiaworld I have a 4 year gap and this happens to me all the time. I fully expect to have to get new editions before my youngest hits 9th grade. I know that I already have to upgrade his history since a new edition came out this past July 🙈

What are your donation points? I thought I had 2 donation points but now that they are homeschooling themselves, they don't want my passed down curriculum. Now I don't know where to donate.
