I am moving to Cambodia in November - it’s a lovely place! To extend the regular Visa to a full year, multi-entry, is less than $400

Yes the 6 month is $180 and 12 months $350 off the top of my head. I think the 12 month retirement is $299. I’m definitely going to check it out.

Oh definitely do it yes you will have days that try your patience and some that even make you cry but they are far out weighed by the truly amazing days and people you meet. I am living on a shoestring budget and at the end of each month it’s sometimes just chicken and rice once a day for food. But I don’t regret a single thing apart from constantly over packing!!!!! Honestly you don’t need much and anything you forget you can buy along the way. Let me know when you have booked your one way ticket 🎫 and if we are ever in the same country maybe we could exchange notes, good luck 🥰

You are so brave trying the snake!🐍 😂. Back then ,I wasn’t very adventurous with the local food so I was a regular at the Hard Rock Cafe..pocket money were all spent on food.😂. It was New Year season and the park and street were filled with decorative lights. So beautiful.

Why you pay $50 for renewal it is $35 I don't understand.???? Can you explain it
@nanwithabackpack

I’m in Siem Reap not phnom phen so the visa agent has to send your passport to phnom phen to get it renewed. It takes 7-10 days to do it might be cheaper for the visa there or by doing a border run but then you have travel costs. The 6 month visa is $180 I believe?

I’ve never extended my visa. It looks a bit trickier in Cambodia than other places and expensive! You are right about why they sell the little birds but other places like Luang Prabang they discourage people from doing this as the birds often die from shock and it’s cruel. I don’t like to see it.😥

Can you do the visa yourself though, without using a visa service?
@nanwithabackpack

Honestly it was really easy to do. And the company were great. $50 was ok as they had to send our passports to phnom phem if you travel to the capital yourself it will cost less but you will have travel costs.
