I grew up on the big and little piney rec areas that connect to piney bay on Lake Dardanelle . My dad fished in your era. We fished many amateur tourneys on that water that lake is a pain in the butt at times constant dropping of the water from the dam. My dad ashes are scattered on those rock walls that lead south through those channels south of Piney Bay. Miss those days!

Everytime I go out there I see guys going down the bank throwing spinner baits and Senkos. Hey Randy, great tips!! The first bait i launched with my black bantam on my 5’6” pistol grip bullwhip fightin rod was a spinnerbait and I became quite adept with it over the next 30 years. I put it down a few years ago, maybe I’ll bring it back this spring. Here’s a thought I’ve been having lately regarding panoptix. Maybe a topic for a vid...how many fishing trips won’t happen now because of it. Personally my bud and I were at sturgeon bay this fall. We were throwing our homemade umbrella rig but I caught one for every 6 my bid caught with panoptix in front. Most frustrating day in a while lol. When the bite is on panoptix (I have it now) I doubt we’ll fish much together anymore, kind of a bummer.

Although I will not show my secrets, I can assure you that there is another level to spinnerbait fishing above this. I have these spinnerbaits. I can honestly say I have the best spinnerbait known to man. What the man explain is the highest level the pros have achieved. The actual highest level they have not yet understand. The right spinnerbait catches anything....from bass to striper regularly. Been trying to contact these companies to make millions of dollars bug no one cares bc I am a nobody. This world is sad.

I've always had a tough time finding 1 oz or even 3/4 oz spinnerbaits. I use them for musky fishing as well. Seems like most of the big manufacturers don't make much over 1/2 oz, and even when you do find them they come with small blades.
