Amazing. This reminded me of recently watching a Mix With The Masters episode with the producer Illangelo, in the song intro he created a whole world out of a couple of single synth notes, using multiple instances of Timeless and Valhalla Delay. The song was Alone Again, by The Weeknd.

In the "old days" having a studio meant dropping serious money on hardware. There were no plugins. Computers did midi only. There were no KZitem tutorials either! You're living in a golden age for music production, IMO: with just free software you can have a setup that blows my first project studio out of the water. I'm expecting great things from your generation ;)

Not something I'd ever use but cool idea. Totally get going for multieffects and a controller instead of a pedalboard. Even with modern effects loop switchers, it's still much cleaner to program one unit than wire up a bunch of pedals into a loop switcher. Though you run the risk of spending way too much time fiddling with settings in that case, so there's always a tradeoff.
@Matmus

I also use the X-15, since 1987. Indestructible unit. But I have it patched into the Soundsculpture Switchblade GL's. It controls all of my MIDI, Orville and H8000 patches. I have a Roland MIDI cable which converts to USB, but it doesn't seamlessly translate to the PC so I pulled that out of the system. I wonder how you're connected. I also have a couple RME interfaces, but never tried their MIDI ports. I wanted to get FLS to contol the patch changes, but ended up just doing all of this myself, the old fashioned way, with my foot. Love my Fabfilter. 👍 Rock on.
