I also own the Juki TL-2200QVP Mini, I purchased it about 3 years ago and I love it. I also purchased at the same time the Juki MO2000 QVP Serger and I love it also. Note: be careful oiling your machine each day you use it, I belong to two Juki face book groups and some have commented that oiling that frequently have caused oil build up, with oil coming out the bottom of their machine. Unless you're doing a lot of daily sewing you could get oil build up. I myself oil based on my usage, if I use my machine a lot I will oil every 3-4 days, and if I have not used it for a month I will oil before using it. There is a trap door on the bottom of your machine, you can look there when cleaning and if you see oil pooling there, you'll know it's being over oiled. I also purchased the Juki brand ruler foot used to quilt with quilting rulers and I'm having so much fun with them. I purchased the super large acrylic quilting ruler table, that allows you to position your machine like a long arm quilting machine with the head of the machine facing forward towards you, giving you a lot more space to quilt large quilts. I also purchased the Juki brand side opening quilting feet that allows you to be able to see when you're free motion quilting. I hope you enjoy your machine as much as I'm enjoying mine.

I have had my Juki 2010 TL for 16 months & I love it. Due to the pandemic, sewing machine stock is limited here & I couldn't get your version. It has allowed me to quilt a double bed size quilt and learn free motion quilting on it. I've quilted, made bags, clothes, home decor etc with mine. It's fast and easy to use. You will have so much fun with it ❤️ 💕

This video was wonderful. I have been considering a JUKI, even though there is nothing wrong with my current machine. I like the fact that the JUKI is metal, inside and out, so many now are being made of plastic all the way through so things do break. I look forward to seeing your machine cover; so fun.

The ADT feed system of my Pfaff has me so spoiled, I simply love it and really can’t imagine giving it up. I have a Bernina 830 which is an older all metal machine much like your Juki. I also have a couple Singer featherweights and a 15-91 that sew straight stitches like a dream. I am using one of my Featherweights (Lena) this week at the camper and love the portability of that. I also have a working treadle machine but haven’t mastered that yet. I like you am set for life on machines that are work horses. Thanks for sharing your review.

@Luella Calkins I have a Bernina 830 which I bought in 1981 and only put into retirement when I took up quilting and wanted a few features the 830 didn't have. She was such a good machine and what I liked was that I could clean just about everything in there and oil it. Did you get free lessons with yours? I bought it when I lived in New York City and I received weekly lessons on how to use it and the first was how to clean, oil and generally take care of the machine. It came with a booklet showing the various functions and a bag of fabrics to use learning those features. Each week something new was learned and the fabric pieces stapled into the book so they're there for reference and mine are still with the machine! The store I bought her from would only sign the warranty when all the classes were completed. On the recommendation of a fellow quilter fiend I bought a Janome Memory Craft 6600P as she had one and loved it. It wasn't long before I found I didn't care for it at all but I've persevered for seven years and now I've had enough and I'm in the market for a new machine but it definitely won't be a Janome.

😄 When I was first introduced to a knee lifter on a sewing machine, I thought it was absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary - how wrong was I! I was encouraged to use the knee lifter, and now I can’t imagine not having one ! When I work on a machine that does not have a knee lifter, I find myself instinctively swinging my right knee outwards - and of course nothing happens! Very frustrating to have to take my hands off my work just to lift the presser foot. TIP: teach yourself to sew with your left foot on the pedal, so that your right leg operates the knee lifter independently- it feels clumsy in the beginning (like learning to wrote with your non-dominant hand), but it doesn’t take long for it to feel natural.

I took a quilting class once and the best thing I learned was to use the knee lift. The key is to use your left foot for the foot pedal so that you can use the right knee for the knee lift. Eventually you can be using both hands and both feet and legs while seeing. With just a little bit of practice you can get up and running pretty quickly. Give it a try!

I have been giving this same advice (my left foot sewing!). It takes just a few sittings to get the muscle memory engaged. However, once you do it, you will always put your left on any pedal (though not the car brake)

When using the thread cutter on the juki sewing machine. Do you need to tie off the ends first, then use the thread cutter? And do you need to go back and trim off the tiny little tail it leaves behind?
