great use of a small. pace. I took permanent custody of 4 of my grand children this year. Needless to say my scrapbook room is now my granddaughter's room. Hi there! I just discovered you today and I'm so glad I did! Your new smaller sewing space looks fabulous with everything organized and laid out beautifully! It's like a perfect jigsaw puzzle! I am new to sewing because i have more time, having retired recently, so my husband put up shelves, etc. to create a sewing space for me. It is in a smallish corner of our upstairs hallway and I love using an area that would typically not be use. You have given me lots of news ideas for this space... I'm very grateful (eg: mirror, folding fabrics in rolls, a fold up table, seated area for ironing, etc., etc.! I watched your video showing the fabrics you ordered from Miss Matatabi and I've spent a couple wonderful hours scrolling her website! I love the fabrics you chose... I too am a lover of pretty florals, stripes and solids. I can't wait to watch more of your videos. I'm wondering if you have ever watched The Last Homely House on KZitem, from the Northumberland area of England? I'm learning how to quilt from my precious neighbours and by watching Kate Jackson on the LHH. Again, thank you for sharing your passion with us. Happy day to you! Margie

Oh wow I didn't think such a tiny space could be THAT functional ??? I love it !!! I feel like the effort of getting out the machines from drawers and plugging them each time and also not being able to walk in the room and see my fabric would put me off creatively but apart from that your space is super cool ??? I have more space that you do and somehow I feel like the opposite (well it's not a room just half of my living room so doors and heaters and windows are making it feel like less space)because of how I need to rethink my whole sewing space!! I've been seeing this folding table a lot in sewing space videos and it's kinda growing on me!!

"Pressing Ham" so that is what one of those things is. I picked up an old garage sale sewing machine this weekend and that was in the little kit with it. Most computer monitors can be bolted to a wall mount fold out arm or a television wall mount system (Ikea probably has a couple styles) and then you can gain back all that space where the monitor is sitting.

My sewing room is a shared space with our guest room. After viewing your video, I checked out this IKEA gate leg table and purchased one. It is the perfect solution to my lack of work space and easily folds up to tuck away. I am thrilled. I put felt pads on the bottom of the legs to slide it around easily, and this kept it the same height as my sewing desk. The table is quite heavy as it is essentially all birch wood, so casters or felt pads assist in moving it. So glad I saw this video!

I completely agree that those of us who have a designated sewing space are very lucky! I am a quilt-maker and love that folding Ikea Norden table! I sew on two Linnmon table tops that have been attached to 2 bookshelves (now unavailable and the name I cannot remember) placed back to back to provide me with lots of storage space. When I am assembling a quilt top, or machine quilting, I do not always have enough space to the left of my sewing machine, so I think that table is in my future, lol! My ironing table is an old flat door on top of 2 Kallax (4 space) shelving units that my dad and I put on castors so that it can be moved around when needed. I have also tucked a pair of Raskog utility carts underneath for extra storage. I am very fortunate to have a dad who is handy and who is always willing and able to help me build what I need to make my sewing room work for me. Thank you for showing us your sewing space!

My sewing space is about that small but it’s in a section of the living room. Whatever works. My kids are getting close to moving out and I’m looking forward to having everything in a “cat free” room. OMG the fur!!! lol
