How do you keep your water supply from freezing in the winter ? This series is good idcwtf they saying

It won’t happen there’s no water to the cabin plus no insulation under the cabin. Even heat tape here in maine won’t keep a pipe from freezing

@@nickh5450 have the well drilled next to the cabin Then slab with 2ft+ concrete footers with the shed on top of that built directly to the cabin as a addition then have all the water lines heater/tank and such in there and you can’t forget the insulation preferably closed cell spray foam (what I do for work) in maine it gets really cold here on a good winter.
@bmdubclub9933

We also spray under the concrete slab here in maine but I know orions to cheap to do all that. He didn’t even insulate the floor on the cabin plus it’s to close to the ground to get under there and do it now so hes gonna have to lift that place up alittle more off the ground once he realizes that he’s losing all his heat through the floor

i install those things all the time for the renovation company i work for, you did the right thing, you just coil up the extra line sets, your install looked super clean, nice job. and believe me you will never hit 83 on the remote, you will cook, i throw it on like 70-72 and it gets a little to hot sometimes to where i turn it off lol. nice job having the unit elevated. you might wanna throw a little roof over it tho, cuz if it snows that much by you, if the rad on the outside gets covered in snow, or ice it wont work. those machine have alot of self protection built in. it should mention it in the manual.

He has no insulation in the floor and also installed the cabin to low to the ground to get under and insulate it. I offered him to spray foam it for him (it’s what I do for work for the past 10 yearsout of the augusta area) but he never got back to me. I’d recommend 3inches of closed cell in the walls 5 in the roof and 4 in in the floor

Stop useing inverters, that ru through another transformer. USE dc power DIRECTLY, watch ypuself save 30 to 40 precent efficiency by cutting out unneeded expensive error prone components. Like cutring out your egr. Use a solar vacuum heat collectors to boost the geothermal efficiency in the winter duh.

Hey onion I'd recommend the confortotal mini split on eBay for 500$. It's a single stage non inverter unit but that's a better design if you're looking for something that won't require maintenance. For large whole house ducted unit single stage is worse because the high power draw to start them kills it but a 110v 12k btu little single stage mini split doesn't hard start so they last forever. The thing that dies on inverter units is the inverter computers themselves, as long as your single stage is sealed it'll last a damn long time with no breaking.
