I do remember first time I saw the cassette Matando Güeros I think was 1994 One of my friends in Mexico brought it to school and borrowed it to me , original cassette with the booklet. Man I was scared but couldn’t stop listening it and looking at the pictures of the head and body on the train rails And was an urban legend about it, they told me that the small shop where they use to sell shirts , cassettes , poster from heavy metal the guy will sell that cassette just by order , and he stopped selling it because the guys that will buy it had an accident or something happened to them. And me after get the cassette and make a copy to myself , I got sick couple weeks later I don’t think was related to the cassette but man what a coincidence I have been listening to brujería since then and 3 concerts Juan brujo is a showman in the concerts I really enjoy them

Met Juan after a Brujeria show in Melbourne Australia and was one of the friendliest gracious international musicians my friends and I met. Stuck around for photos and a chat, was very cool!

If you were a latino metal head in 90's L.A for the Matando gueros era of Brujería I think I speak for most of us in that was our 'Black Album' moment. Noone else did over-the-top campy evil metal quite like these guys.

I can relate to Juan Brujo, "Join Brujeria and you're gonna get big somehow.". I tried to start bands or jam with people and some of those people went on to be big somehow too.

I remember hearing about Brujeria and then getting the album Matando Gueros and freaking out about the album cover. I didn't believe these were an off chute of a drug cartel, but if they were i wouldn't had been surprised.

This interviewer focused a lot on his singing. He said he doesn't worry about that.

It is the main idea in the interview series. You can find 90 more episodes of metal singers within the same topic.

Juan Brujo needs someone to proofread his lyrics in Spanish because now, they're sounding like they were written by a 6th grader. The Song Bruja's lyrics are laughable.

Old lyrics were still full with grammar mistakes but they were enjoyable. New lyrics sound just silly...the new album is sort of disappointing.
