First of all I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! I have a Husqvarna 336FR, which I accidentally put straight fuel into and froze the motor. I watched your video, tried your advice, and it worked like a charm. Again, thank you!

That is incredible that it started and ran so well after sitting that time. The additives they put in the fuel over here usually means everything is gummed up if not used for a couple of months. MMO did a great job freeing it up

I never had any luck freeing up a locked up 2 stroke although they were Craftsman and homelites. After free up no compression. I did unlock a Stihl pack blower come to think of it and it was fine. Your echo starts up easy now and I think it will be okay. Good video Alex 🔧👍

I’ve only had luck with one other piece of two stroke equipment and it was a stihl chainsaw that was weather locked. I’m just blown away that the 60psi of compression is enough to run this machine. Thanks you as always for the support Artie 🙏. Hope all is well your way.

Thank you. I really can’t believe it was running on those compression numbers. I really like using MMO for an additive in most of my oil changes. It seems like it helps a lot.

You are receiving a false compression reading, try adding 1 teaspoon of 2 cyl oil down the spark plug cylinder, remove air filter then squeeze the throttle all the way, do a compression test again. The head not turning may be a broken couch blade. Hope this helps. Lee from Old Bridge

Alex , you are way luckier than i am. I actually quit doing 2 stroke curb finds because even if i revive them i cant make any coin as a flipper.i mainly do push or self propelled mowers. My goal is to make a $100 bill on fully serviced mowers with a bag. When i say fully serviced, i mean with the paint touched up, fresh oil change, blade sharpened, balanced, painted, new air filter. New pull cord (if needed), everything lubed or greased. I want to do a tractor so bad but here they think a junk tractor is worth a fortune. i would love to do a LT1000, LT2000, but i just cant find a viable candidate. I would want to make $200-$300 on a tractor.👍😎🇺🇸 Roger🤔

I’m right there with ya. I’ve just been trying to cover various topics, but I need to get back to the mowers. Push mowers are the money makers. Much easier to fix than a rider in most cases and still bring a good price when done right.

Didn't get a good look at your compression tester but a good 1 should have the Schrader valve at the tip of the part that screws into the spark plug hole. I've seen many online that they don't. So if yours doesn't the compression reading you got cld be double. Bosch makes a good reliable 1. Lesson for every1 out there store your equipment indoors if possible and No tarping things outdoors still leaves it susceptible to moisture bring it inside just drain liquids first. I have 2 gt-200r echos I still use I alternate they're are awesum best trimmers I've ever owned and between the 2 I have $25 into them. First 1 got in 08 got 2nd last yr both run flawless. Both 100% original. Thnx for the Vid.

I pick up a lot of unwanted and broken lawn and garden equipment and it's unreal at how many things I get from people that needs nothing done to them besides cleaning up or a simple carburetor cleaning but I don't think people today are unknowledgeable but instead people have just gotten really lazy and don't want to try to fix anything and I don't mind picking those types of things up and getting them running again and I'll put a lot of it online and sell it to make extra money off of it, if it's something I don't need.... I think with the echo weed eater you have in this video, it could probably use the muffler screen being cleaned and check the carburetor bolts,, muffler bolts along with the cylinder and head bolts on the engine to make sure all of them are tight and not causing it to lose compression because I have ran into those problems quite a few times over the years with things like weed eaters and especially chainsaws or leaf blowers that create more vibration when running to begin with....

I’m right there with you. I’ll gladly pick up unwanted items and do my best to get them running again. I just enjoy the learning and troubleshooting. Yes I’m sure all of those bolts and arrestor screen could be tightened and cleaned on this machine. It was left out in the rain for almost a year so I know the rings were probably frozen as well.

I ran my stihl without two stroke oil like an idiot. Now it's locked up. I took it to a small engine mechanic he told me might as well just throw it away he didn't look at it he didn't take it apart he didn't do anything to it he just said it's trash throw it away. I need this tool I run a business off the back of a scooter I'm going to try to do what you're doing here to my stihl. What do you think of my chances?

So my brother borrowed my trimmer and used the wrong gas and seized my trimmer. That was last fall. I went to use it last week. I did the oil trick it broke free. It now turns on but only runs on choke. Soon as I take it off choke it turns off and bogs down. What else can I do?

What area of the US are you from? Lol. Stubbled upon your video trying to find info on freeing up a seized 2 stroke, and I’ve never heard the term “string trimmer.” In the south we call these “weed eaters,” lol. “String Trimmer” admittedly seems way more logical though. Hahaha. Nevertheless, thanks for the video! Definitely gonna try some of the Marvelous Miracle Oil stuff in my push mower later today!
