Can you get a 'Made in Thailand' sticker? Bike looks good, I have a Bud Ekins T120 and I really like it. I may get the rear mudguard painted on mine to match the front.

Some good mods there, I like the striping on the front mudguard, wouldn't mind that done myself. I've got the same bike and colours as you, and I've fitted the comfort seat and the led indicators. I think I'll go with those handlebar cnc and brake res covers as and when. I've got the Halcyon bar end mirrors on mine. I've also fitted the T100 brake discs, they are floating discs and I don't get the screeching noise when I brake, plus they look better. imo! anyway, your bike looks nice! love the Made In England transfer!

Hi Philip, Triumph don’t usually supply instructions for some reason. They seem to expect you to go online for them. Hopefully this link will take you there. www.triumphinstructions.com/ProdDocs/A9518100-EN.pdf Regards Andy

Greeting from across the pond! I did the belt drive conversion on my 2018 T120 with the identical brand that you used. Conventional wisdom says that chain drive actually puts a bit more power to the pavement than belt drive. I didn't notice too much loss of power while riding solo but where I really noticed power loss with the belt drive was when I had a passenger. Any thoughts?
@peakbiker

Hi, I’ve probably done exactly what you have done and had a look on the internet. From what I can see you can expect a transmission loss of between 9 & 15%, but I can’t see anything that says that the loss increases under additional load. So, sorry I can’t help you find an answer to the problem. Regards Andy
@danield831

@@peakbiker Ok, Wow 9-15% is pretty substantial. If I had know that, I may not have done the conversion. I wonder how accurate those numbers are? Thanks

Hi Andy, how do those straight bars feel posture wise? I'm thinking of fitting some to my T100
@peakbiker
Жыл бұрын
Hi, I much prefer the lower bars but with the original foot pegs you do feel a little bit like you are being folded in the middle. They are a bit too far forwards, that’s why I fitted rear set foot pegs and I find the riding position perfect for me. Regards Andy

@@peakbiker thanks very much, bought the wax cotton tank bag new from a dealer who was selling it cheap £60 exactly it’s the same as yours, I’ve followed some of your videos and noticed your bag I wasn’t aware that they came with no fitting instructions so I wondered how you fitted yours, I see now why it was cheap it has no rain cover I wonder if I can get one separately, thanks again I’ll keep watching your videos and keep up your informative content. Hi Phil, I got the mudguard extension from my Triumph dealer, it was a Triumph branded item. I was going to get you the part number but it's not listed anymore as an accessory. The only others I've seen are by Pyramid Plastics but it looks like they come with rivets for fixing them on. The Triumph one is held on by a big patch of 3M tape. Regards Andy

@@peakbiker keep up the good work; interested you've done so many modifications to it. But it is a stunning looking bike. My one is new to me (a 2016 model) and as it had done 23,000 miles it was on the forecourt for less than say a much lower mileage. I can't see why it should n't give me further good service. It has FSH and one previous owner so I have taken a punt. I love the looks; it can stutter at lower speeds but I guess this is the tuning; once opened up it sings. I'm getting over 70 mpg on sensible rides and loving it. Extras on mine? Only a fender extender and Triumph small fly screen which does keep a bit of wind off. Safe riding. Lovely scenery up where you are.
@peakbiker
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, I hope you get as much enjoyment from the T120 as I do. That slow speed stutter can be virtually eradicated by fitting a Booster Plug. I had one on my bike and it does make an improvement for a minimal cost. The other option is the expensive way, fit a Power Commander. The Booster Plug does the job well enough without costing the earth. Regards Andy
