I love these monthly updates! ❤ And I love your 90s bubble writing. I still do that lettering too, and my daughters think I'm some kind of amazing artist because I can draw them so quickly. I guess all of those student council poster sessions are finally paying off! 😂

Oooh "Clytemnestra" sounds like a good one to add to my long, egregious TBR. I always thought she was badass for killing off Agamemnon.👏🏻Ah, love the digital coloring of Medusa! Happy belated bday, Sean 🎂

I completely agree with you on Stone Blind. I went into this book wanting a Medusa story, so I was very disappointed. I did enjoy the ending, so I am happy I persevered and finished it.

I love Medusa’s story and I’m very connected to snakes. I have shed my skin so many times over and have been through so many transformations through my life, snakes are really important to me. I plan on having a snake tattoo, hopefully I can do that this year. Serpentine Valentine is a recent release by Giana Darling, it’s a Medusa retelling, I honestly LOVED it! I’m sure it’s on kindle unlimited too! I always worry when I recommend a book in case it’s not liked 😂 but it’s honestly worth trying…. I’ll keep an eye out in case you do give it a go and hate it/ love it 😂💘

Sounds like a tough month. I'm glad your practice and hobbies really held you as you processed through some stuff. I know that's always our hope for these things, but sometimes it's not the one. I love how snake was a part of what thematically linked so much of what you were exploring, connective with and reflective of your space. Medusa rocks. Just throwing that in there haha. Also I haven't thought about Misfits for years. That really took me back.

Have you read Helen of Troy by Margaret George? I'm about halfway through it and it's great. But then, anything by Margaret George is great.

Oh I haven’t. I’ll definitely look it up. So far, I’ve read at least 5 different interpretations of Helen. I especially love her portrayal in Clytemnestra. Their bond as sisters is so touching.

oh, i'm glad you got the mythic tarot and that you are enjoying it. it was my first tarot deck (back in the day). i have a tiny bit of trouble with the 3 of swords, but i do get ares as the chariot only because i think if him as not being mature enough to be the emperor (not that zeus is tons more mature. i just think ares "flies off the handle")

Great sharing... Just want to say that actually the author mentioned how the decan system is used in his guidebook. When I used Mythic Heroes, I initially was also wonder how he applied the astrological decan but later found out how it worked. I recommend that you read the introduction part of the guidebook (you can tell the author put a lot of effort into writing it). I personally really enjoyed using this deck and it has been very accurate in my readings.

Hi. Thank you so much. I went back to check in case I’d missed anything. The author explains the system they used and unfortunately, it’s not the Decan system I learned and currently use. That’s why I think I must rehome as it’ll confuse me too much! Thanks so much I’m glad you’re enjoying it! 😊

Dear Marlene, thank you for inspiring me and probably many others to revisit the Greek myths. Since your previous video on your practice, decks and books, where you discussed the Clytemnestra book, I have been down this rabbit hole. I've read Jennifer Saint's Ariadne, Jean Racine's Phedre, Sarah Kane's Phaedra's Love (warning! a very dangerous in-your-face theatre play with shock value vulgarity and violence), and Natalie Haynes' Stone Blind. I am now reading in parallel: Fry's Mythos, Ovid's Metamorphoses and M.Miller's Song of Achilles. When I finish with Mythos I am going to see what Dan Simmons did (if I'm not mistaken, to the planet Mars) in the sci-fi genre quite some time ago in his duology Ilium and Olympos. I have always been in contact with the classical myths via astrology, but you know what I find now that I am back to the basics, and researching the modern retellings that try to right the wrongs? Astrology, at least western phychological and also evolutionary astrology has really really evolved those Greek gods archetypes through teaching us, with them inside us and planets above us, to be better! I had actually forgotten how immature and petty those gods used to be!😅 And you are so right: reading Greek mythology is a great shadowwork and healing practice in itself. Once again, thank you so much for inspiring me and others to dive into this wealth of wisdom ❤
