Thanks for sharing! These are the same sort of things a lot of people struggle with and dont talk about. I know this message will help others. I know you will be in a position to help others, including other cadets who will be in similar situations as with your experience. I have had my share of addictions. My worst has been with smoking pot I did that for about 12 years from 14 to 26. I did it because i wanted to feel like a kid again and escape my responsibility and also not wanting to grow up. I knew what I wanted, and I meditated on that, and once I got a family of my own, it was very easy to give up that addiction. Even though other addictions lingered longer, like playing too many video games and gambling. Giving up video games was pretty easy as well, I am just too busy for them. Gambling is harder, though. I appreciate your honesty, and of course, if you ever need anything, i am here. Love Uncle Jake.

I appreciate it, I think sometimes it takes a big change in life to put the addictions into perspective to realize they no longer serve us anymore.
