Same. Great video. I want to know about the thing Devon has mentioned a couple of times that's unique for people with really small hands, I think it's regarding gripping the thumb tightly. He's also mentioned it in regard to crazy George but I'd never heard a full explanation of what he's talking about because the camera tends to cut off. And I'd really like to know since I'm not very blessed in the hand size department 😔

5'5 with small hand and wrists, been hooking the past 6 months, always felt week whenever I tried toprolling but this last practice I tired a Travis Bagent style posting toproll and everyone was surprised how strong my toproll felt, It feels WAY better off the go than how I've been starting in a hook. I always lose my wrist and backpressure battles so I think this is spot on for the smaller pullers that weren't blessed with genetics

So my grip/fingers are very good but I don’t rely on it because my hand is a medium size 7 3/8 from tip of middle to base of palm. My rise and wrist curl are wicked!!! @ blackpaw your advice goes against everything done in professional sports, bodybuilding, strongman, powerlifting, arm wrestling, and goes against research done for muscle growth. Billions of dollars worth of professionals are all wrong? My experience tells me waiting two weeks in between training muscles is a huge waste. What's the source of your "knowledge"?
@Spandex08
2 жыл бұрын
@@LYFJV TL:DR: Muscles start to grow about 10-14 days after training. My source is biology. You can train any sport every day, it will improve your control and technique, which muscles to activate, which muscles to deactivate when performing the movement etc. But if you want to increase muscle mass you don't achieve anything by training one muscle more than once in two weeks. And the reason for that is that myofibrils grow from 10-14 days. In order to increase muscle muss you need to increase the number of myofibrils in the muscle fibers. Sarcoplasm can also increase but it only consists of about 10% of total cell volume. The only practical way to increase muscle fibers is adding new myofibrils. You can also increase number of muscle fibers but hyperplasia of muscle fibers is only about 5%. In humans there is a constant process of catabolism and anabolism i.e destruction of protein structures and rebuilding. You can not start these processes.. they are ongoing.. you can only enhance one over the other. You have to increase anabolism to increase muscle mass.
