The best for me were: The Boys; a different look at the superhero genre and Karl Urban is fantastically diabolical. Barry; a depressed assassin decides to become an actor, but can't shake his previous life off. The way that unchecked mental health is handled is so fantastically done, but it's still so super funny. Plus, big ass crush on Bill Hader. Big Mouth, I watched all three seasons in one go, its gross and I get it; not everyones cup of tea, but, it gets very real about a lot of how shitty growing up is. Plus, John Mulaney. Brooklyn Nine Nine; always fantastic, still awesomley funny - I watch it when I can't sleep. I can't wait for the new season. :D

don't know if you've seen 'years and years' but i would definitely recommend it if you haven't!! it's an extremely powerful, scary, quite depressing look at the near future but it's still very hopeful and has amazing character-focused scenes. its written by russell t davies who's probably my favourite screenwriter of all time

Love the video, I will definitely check out the shows I haven't watched. But have you seen Dark? The first series is better, but I wondered.

Loved this video ! Here are my absolute faves of the year : Fleabag (same experience as you, the 1st watching season 2 I was weary of the priest, and it took me until the last two episodes to warm up to the idea that he was not just a creepy guy), Good Omens (the chemistry between the two main characters is wonderful and I think it might be even better than the book !), Pose (haven't watched s2 yet so I don't know if that counts but it is beautiful, the characters are amazing and diverse and well played and it could very easily veer off into being a very sad overwhelming drama on the aids crisis but it is not and it is human and joyful and sad and perfect), Sex Education (I especially loved how when it seemed that a character, especially a girl, was behaving very weirdly from the point of view of other characters, they always made a point of then showing her point of view and how we really never know the lives of people we are so quick to judge), Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (I don't remember if season 2 came out this year or last year but it was joyfully absurd and funny and touching and went into unexpected directions and I loved it how the main actors Samuel Barnett and Elijah Wood were a great duo both for the funny and the emotional scenes)

Unsurprisingly didn't recognize a good number of these, but Sex education- that show is so good! Very much enjoyed it. I've been meaning to watch The end of the f****** world and Euporia but haven't gotten around to it. Can you list the 10 in the description box (or a comment) so that it's easier to refer back to your list? A lot of these shows sound interesting.
