Finally the end of my Anonkatsu phase soon...?
I have mentioned before in a previous video that I wanted to do this video, so here it is. I told myself I was gonna wait after watching the Aikatsu! 10th Story movie with proper subs before doing this, but I couldn't resist when the raw BDs came out. I still can't believe I have become this invested in a franchise that I dove into eight months ago for a shallow reason, and that's with me not being a fan of some of the entries of the franchise, to boot.
Note(s):
1) One could say this video is sort of an update to all the Aikatsu videos I have posted before, with my opinions over some songs having changed significantly since those videos and the new songs from the Aikatsu! 10th Story movie being considered now that the movie BD raws are out. The movie has 5 new anime songs, including one that is a new version of an old anime song and another that is an old song that used to be non-anime prior to the movie.
2) As with all the previous Aikatsu videos I have done before, I only considered one version for each song, but this time I had two exceptions. The first is the Rock and on Parade versions of "Idol Katsudou!", which I felt had significantly enough differences in the bg compared to the normal Idol Katsudou!. The second is the two versions of "Alice Blue no Kiss", which as far as I know is the only song in the franchise with multiple versions to have a change in pitch across versions. (In the end, I had a couple of these side-by-side in the video anyway, though my scores for the two versions of "Alice Blue no Kiss" are different, and my score for the Rock version of "Idol Katsudou!" is way lower than the other two versions and that version did not make it to this video.)
3) I counted 311 unique songs (154 in the original series, 69 in Stars, 35 in Friends, 17 in on Parade, and 36 in Planet) among the openings, endings, and insert songs for the Aikatsu franchise, but with the previous note, I only considered 173 of them for the video.
4) "Kira・pata・shining" has two versions (one solo and one duet) used in the original Aikatsu! series that are credited the exact same. The duet version is sung by two characters with the same singing voice but I consider that version to be significantly different enough from the solo version (and used the duet version in the video).
5) "Pretty Pretty" is used twice in the original Aikatsu! series but is credited differently during those two times. I consider those to be the same version as it is the exact same song with almost the exact same TV size cut and with barely noticeable visual changes. (The difference is just in the artist credit, "Ruka・Mona・Miki from AIKATSU☆STARS!" vs. "Ruka・Mona・Miki from AIKATSU☆STARS! with Shino Shimoji", and I assume the show just forgot to credit Shino Shimoji the first time around.)
6) The solo version of "Kirakira☆Days" only plays for about 14-15 seconds in the anime, so the song gets a non-whole number ranking in the video.
7) "Hoshizora no Floor" is a song that already existed for years prior to being used in the Aikatsu! 10th Story movie, and the original artist credit for the full version of that song is "Waka from STAR☆ANIS & Ruka from AIKATSU☆STARS!". However, the artist credit for that song in the movie is "Waka・Ruka" so I used that instead for the video.
8) "Aikatsu! Ending Medley ~PandaBoY MIX~" is a medley of the first four multi-episode endings from the original Aikatsu series. My score for it is just the average score of those four endings, which happens to be exactly 7.5. Normally this would mean that this song makes it into the video, but I decided not to include it as all four endings this song is a medley of were considered for the video (with two of them making it into the video). If I did include this song though, it would be placed between #85 and #86 in the video.
9) For the curious, 7s start at #117, 7.5s start at #89, 8s start at #68, 8.5s start at #43, 9s start at #31, 9.5s start at #13, and 10s start at #6.

P.S. Huge thanks to a couple of my friends who helped me confirm what songs are in the Aikatsu! 10th Story movie.
P.P.S. This might be the last Aikatsu-focused video on this channel, unless they announce a new Aikatsu anime series.
