To be fair, my goal of this video was more to put out a bunch of tips that most people probably wouldn't be aware of, so hopefully in some odd sort of way, I accomplished that goal. Haha! Glad you appreciated the video!

Yea this seems so indepth but I'm lost at the 2 minute mark already lol. I'm nearly half way through and I'm so beyond lost lol. I'm the Michael Scott with this kinda stuff though so I'm sure it'll help others who is second nature to this stuff but I'm still going to watch and support

Hey Tim! I loved the video, but when I try to use FFMPEG to remux my recordings, It doesn't remux my audio tracks correctly. I tried adding -map 0 after the copy bit, and it shows the correct tracks, though only one track has audio in it. Do you know what could be causing this?
@CameraTim
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, so this is something I didn't really touch on before because I didn't have a good understanding of it, but my current understanding is FFmpeg will copy everything into one stream (one video, one audio) by default, so the correct syntax after the input would look something like: -c:v copy -c:a copy -map 0. With that said though, it's possible your OBS recording is actually only in one audio track. I'd probably need to see the file to be sure about that. You specified in the Advanced Audio Properties which audio goes to which track correct?
@JoelNickel1
3 жыл бұрын
@@CameraTim Yes, I did end up specifying the correct audio tracks. The input syntax that you shared in your above comment ended up working, saved me a bunch of time, so big thanks to you!

When I use the mkv.bat converter I lose the second and third audio tracks from my obs recording. All I have is my microphone and I lose game audio and discord voice chat. Is there an extra command I can put into the mkv.txt file so that it keeps the other two tracks? I'm not having much luck with google. Thanks in advance!

You forgot to set your frame rate before you edit. Here it’s 25fps... if you forget to change that and start editing you cant change it!!! It’s alright for you 24 or 30 FPS people but if it’s 50 cycle country it is really frustrating. SET YOUR FPS BEFORE EDITING!!! Everything else is trivial.

@@bernzeppi Yeah, thankfully you can create a new timeline with a different framerate and just copy/paste now, but before you couldn't even really do that.
