Dear freaking god, that last bit with the dual pitch shifter (after you take the beat out) is absolutely gorgeous...

Thx 1stly for adding the ducking when you speak, it just makes things clearer. Love the fact this is all made by 3 instruments that are possibly smaller than an average synth, but you get so much more variations of sound due to the nature of the devices. I do have some large synths, but I prefer smaller more impacting devices that just take up less real estate. My ole saying, if it's within arms reach, it's playable. Love this btw.

Thank you! I like smaller synths too ~ can only fit so much on my table and carrying gear to gigs is a lot easier too lol

I'd kinda written it off as a bread-and-butter boring unit, but it's actually pretty wild. Great demo as always!

A very timely video because I just got my FX Aid XL last week. I love experimenting with it. You can even use it as a drum module!
@TheUnperson

I haven’t tried that yet! Gonna try it out ☺️

@@TheUnperson Honestly this module asks for another one to be bought!. I have 4 banks split into reverbs, delays, random effects and utilities. It can do really decent 808 stuff, it can oscillate, the ever - expanding library of effects is amazing. Have you tried out grey hole reverb? Obvious origin of inspiration, really cool.

That freeze mode is gnarly! Any one of The Generation Lost and Blackhole reverb alone would be worth the HP and money - having 32 different effects out of 200 possible is madness with this quality.

Great video, as usual! One thing I noticed…I think the Generation Lost effect is sample rate reduction rather than bitcrushing. At least that's what it sounds like to me :)

Very nice dive into Fx Aid effect ! I do run 2 of those in my setup ;) Question : do you send mono signal from the OP-1 into you eurorack input ? If yes, do you use a specific parameter on the OP-1 to send mono only ? Thx !
@TheUnperson
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I just use a mono cable. There isn’t a great deal of stereo in the op1 anyway tbh. You can pan things but that’s about it. That’s why I’d love an op1 field.. but could buy a car for that price lol
