_Meanwhile, at the next door neighbors_ When our towns emergency alert system went off and told us to stay in no matter what, we curiously looked outside, saw this weird yellow fog roll in outside. So we all figured that we'd stay in, eat dinner, watch a couple of movies and then go to bed. It was pretty uneventful really. 🤔

This is my reoccurring nightmare, for months, in the dream I live in this small countryside town. Based on an odd amalgamation of places I’ve actually lived but these creatures appear that only hunt during the day forcing us to live in the nighttime (I hate being out at night it’s terrifying stealing ma safe hours jajaja) but in the dream we are going from safe house to safe house and we have to routinely lock the doors as some force keeps unlocking them more recently in the dream as the creatures can mimic loved ones we need to be careful when on door locking duty i tend to sit at the window holding it ready for when it inevitably gets in with the goal of making a clear exit for everyone but usually we get got when hiding in strange castle ruins and then I wake up sweating jajaja maybe needs written down

Gives “The Mist” vibes big time in the beginning. I was like, this author is just copying the plot to The Mist 🙄 But then as I continued to listen… it began to veer into a different direction altogether. I loved Mr. Creeps narration of course ! The correct answer to not being able to trust your own senses is to get somewhere safe, sit down, don't move, shut your eyes, plug your ears, don't react to anything and wait for it to pass. It comes with it's own risks. Your vulnerable, but at least your not gonna walk off a roof or brutally murder someone you care about. The way I see it, that approach has the least amount of risks.

I lived on a farm for 20 years where we raised and butchered our own food. Pigs, turkeys, chickens, cows, goats, sheep, rabbits to name a few. Fun fact: Rabbits will scream if you don't break there neck on the first try when butchering them. They also make for a good stew. In that time frame we even had livestock that got sick and died, some were fresh, some weren't and i had to haul them to our local landfill. And yes it wasn't an uncommon site to see dead calf's or horses that others had dumped there that were bloated and ready to pop in the summer. Also have family that work in the medical field. I have watched anatomy video's, some here on KZitem. Gore doesn't bother me. I could probably eat a ham and cheese sandwich at a morgues embalming table without much thought. Probably going to be the most disinfected surface in the room.

Did we just listen to The Fog in a different setting? This is the premise to the movie The Fog lol. it's not an original story just a retelling in a different form. So far i am ten minutes in and its mirroring the fog. strange fog rolls in scary monster in it. Guy banging on window let me in before a tentacle grabs him or whatever. It's The Fog. Or at least is really damn close to the same thing by James Herbert. Maybe the fog copied it i don't know just pointing out the similarities and I've heard of The Fog first so...
