Thank you so much for sharing your progress on the ukulele. I started out on the piano in 2020, learning just classical music, and I surely did make progress, but every time I saw someone like Robert Glasper or Ahmad Jamal on the keyboard, I would feel a little discouraged. So I started with jazz lessons from an instructor, but didn't get a chance to go far with that, what with a newborn to care for. He's almost a year old now, and I want to get back into it, and your video is a precious inspiration for me, a reminder that consistency and perseverance will get me to my goal! Or at least to enjoy the journey there! Forgot to say: even watching you change strings on your instruments shows your dedication to learning, and underscores the importance of maintenance along the journey

Niceeee way to go ive been thinking of picking up ukulele, I play percussion(mainly piano/drums/electronic and can make guitar pretty, don't know the notes that well but I make beats out of the strings and guitar base. Fun to watch you and I appreciate how you explain your process. Good luck on y'alls endeavors! And cheers to this year and the ones after!

Hey bro, I just want to say that I've been trying to learn acoustic guitar for a couple years now but with the arthritis it's tough. Things like this remind me that everyone goes at their own pace, you know? It helps. Like, however long you been doing music, it still ain't easy to pick up something new. So thanks for that. You starting with struggling to do this that and the other thing and ending with kind of understanding what's up genuinely gives me hope and I wanted to say how I appreciate that sort of thing

Right on man, I'm going on 2 years in September. I switch to a low g string, you can do so much more stuff with that extra bass. Low g gives more of a guitar sound. I'm an old school hip-hopper too, Raising Hell by Run DMC was one of the first tapes I ever bought.
