How It Works
Students will have a seamless booking experience with amber.
1. Search: Students can choose from a wide range of options according to their preferences, including low-to-high budget options and flexibility in size/occupancies (en-suite/studio/multiple-sharing/etc).
2. Finalize: We provide students with round-the-clock, free & personalized assistance each step of the way. They will particularly appreciate our student-friendly initiatives such as the COVID-19 policy, under which we are offering free cancellations and relief from visa-related uncertainties (no-visa-no-pay), as well as exclusive freebies/offers from our amber+ partners.
3. Book: Our executives will not only be with your students every step of the way but will also take care of cumbersome paperwork, including lease agreements. Students can also find out more about their home away from home with live viewing sessions and our on-the-ground property.
There are as many as ten international airports in Australia with Melbourne and Sydney being among the busiest of them while Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Gold Coast being popular options as well. There are numerous flights operating from India to Australia with carriers such as Thai Airways, Qantas Airways and Cathay Pacific to name a few. The only direct flight to Australia from India is operated by Air India and it is from New Delhi to Sydney and lasts 12 hours 25 minutes. There are some connecting flights which come close as well, such as the Thai Airways flight from Kolkata to Sydney, which is 13 and a half hours, including a half hour stop in Bangkok. Traveling by air is considered to be the best way to travel to Australia from India.
Safety
Terrorist activities, violent demonstrations and armed clashes sometimes occur in India. Avoid crowded places and possible targets. Large crowds at religious ceremonies and gatherings can also be dangerous. People have been killed in stampedes. Always have an exit plan.
Women may face higher levels of verbal and physical harassment or sexual assault. Avoid travelling alone, even in major cities and tourist sites.
Travellers have been robbed and assaulted after consuming spiked drinks or food. Don't leave your food or drinks unattended. Don't accept food or drinks from strangers. Petty theft is common in crowded areas such as markets and on public transport. Thieves on motorbikes snatch bags and jewellery. Carry only what you need. Pay close attention to your belongings.
Scams are common. These can involve fake tour guides, ATM and credit card skimming, and fraudulent access to government services. If you're a scam victim, report it to the police to get an official report for your travel insurer.
Severe weather is common. This includes heatwaves and dust storms in summer and flooding during the monsoon season. Check with your tour operator for possible disruptions.
