It's chayote and you can get it any Mexican, Caribbean,Asian market in the States . It called Chow-chow squash too.

You can get Chayote in Walmart or most Hispanic markets in the USA. If I am right they had a blight over there that killed the onions and that’s why they are more scarce and smaller

chayote sounds out like chai and okay but chayote. Hope it makes sense lol The tree name here is called calamondin. I have the tree, it is more sour than lemons or limes are. wooweeee. I've made jam mixed with pluots before with those. Very good.
