This is an interactive automaton that I have made for the MAD museum in Stratford Upon Avon in the UK. (well worth a visit). This video is a tutorial giving an insight into how I made and fitted the parts and shows how it is possible to make movements on an automaton without the need for extra cams. Just using secondary action. Finally I show the machine being switched on and show its action. Unlike most of my automata this one is motorised and controlled by a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller.
Please comment if you would like to see a video explaining how the electronics are used to create the interactivity.
The animatronic that it is based upon is called A Private Conversation and can be seen on my website.

I also sell automata and plans on my web site.
