@@rosali9843 Ohh nooo :( It's truly an awful experience dealing with a rude SA & quality issue. I hope LV does something about in the future especially if they are raising their prices.

I know it’s now 2023 but I’m so nervous now 😩 (I didn’t use PayPal. I was so close to using it, bc for some reason LV wasn’t taking my card. It errored 3 times before I finally got through) Ok so I bought the monogram key pouch 2nd hand (I actually bought it from fashionphile😂 for $350) bc it was always sold out online. It was in great condition, I loved it, it was actually from the year 2003 and look almost brand new. I sold it,😢 then regretted it! 😭 I finally saw it in stock, and it’s being delivered today. But I’m just now seeing all of the issues everyone is having. Oh man. I’m just super nervous that it’s going to be bad quality or just horrible craftsmanship. 😢 fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it’s going to be perfect 😂 thank you for sharing though. I really needed to see everyone else talking about the issues they’re having so I didn’t end up just accepting it as is! ❤❤❤

I’ve been ghosted by a SA who I know is still an SA with LV. Not sure why, but I found a SA who is a better fit in the same state I’m in. You’re so lucky you have more than one LV nearby. My state has one LV store.

I fully understand what you are talking about regarding the quality. I too, purchased this key pouch. Unfortunately, I bought mine in Hawaii (on my last day of a trip) and went to exchange it due to a canvas flaw (it had indentions, as if it was bent), couldn’t see it in the store until I did view under a sunlight inspections. Came back to California and went to my nearest store to exchange, only to find similar issues, runny threads, more canvas indentions, etc. it was so frustrating. Luckily I did mention it in store but I allegedly had “the last one in stock” that day. Decided to keep it only to have a Tax issue during the exchange since HI’s tax is less so it was unorthodox in their system. 2 hours in store for a simple exchange, I was exhausted because I am 1.5 hours away from a stand-alone and indoor boutique of a Bloomingdale’s. The graphite key pouch is definitely not a regrettable purchase, just annoyingly bad quality.

Omg such a headache!! I can’t believe you went through all that as well 😖 They really need to focus on quality vs coming out with a new collection every month lol. But sadly, I doubt that would ever happen. I’ve been using my key pouch more lately to justify the purchase haha

I had to return 2 items so far at LV and also can’t believe how come they passed the quality control. I returned them back to the store. The SA then told me it’s normal because it’s canvass and showed her utube videos that it’s seems not. I wouldn’t accept it as well, I decided to buy instead another strap style and same with the bag. We pay so much for these items, we deserves our money’s worth ♥️

I totally agree with you! Instead of LV coming out with new collections every month, they should focus on quality control. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like they are going to improve anytime soon 😪 I’m glad you didn’t keep the defective item and returned it for something better. Great story time! Great tip too! Going in the sunlight to check your purchase is something I never do but will now. That was such a headache. PayPal was supposed to make it easier to pay. Not harder. 🤦🏾♂️

I did do paypal purchase and a return. The shipping label is your proof. I was surprised the store couldn't do my return and refund me. It had to be shipped back.😒 luckily I had no issue. Btw love the dept store . She def was clueles😂😂

Thankfully I haven't had a bad experience per se, just an SA who was unresponsive to my texts. I begrudged her that but when I came to the boutique in person I found that she was actually doing what I'd asked hehe. I still switched SAs though as I found somebody else that I gelled with better and had actual fun shopping from. Ack! Didn't know that about PayPal! Thanks for the word of caution, babe. Glad you're able to use your 2nd clé and put the bad experience behind you. I don't have one as I have the 4-key already and really don't see myself needing one at the moment. But you're right. Preloved for better quality is the way to go.💕

Omg I’ve had an old SA who didn’t reply to my text also. It’s really annoying when they don’t cater to their customers. I’m glad you switched to a different SA & Yesss! The 4 key holder is worth every penny. I’ve been using mines more than my cles 🤣 Team Preloved for sure 💕

Whenever you have to mail an expensive item, be sure to insure it for the full value. Add tracking or register it, so it needs a signature at delivery, or return receipt it.

I had the same issue with a cles. I bought one in Houston at the Galleria mall. Upon inspection the stitching was horrible. I could see straight through the bottom of it, the seam was crooked, and of course it was made in the USA. So since the pandemic hit, and stores weren't open or accepting returns, I had to order online when it was available. It was made in France & much better quality. So I shipped back the one I bought in the boutique, and kept the one I bought online.

Anita!! I'm so happy you were able to get a better cle & it's made in France (Double winning!!) The quality issue with the cles are out of this world 😪I should have done what you did, ordered another one and swap them out 😭I will def be keeping that in mind for future purchases!!

@@Jetvinchy definitely keep that in mind. Because I thought I was gonna be stuck with that horrible cles. Louis Vuitton should not be having quality issues with their products. They focus too much on price increases, and not enough on quality improvement.

I would just order another one from the LV site and swap the cles, and exchange that way. I had to do that with a Palm Springs mini when my original has a defect,

That's actually a smart tip! I think I was scared of getting caught if they would check it; especially since they have microchips now. But will keep that in mind for future purchases. Thank you for watching ☺️

@@Jetvinchy the sales associate is actually who told me to do it lol. She explained that since they the microchips and date codes only tell them if the item is authentic, not what item was sent out. So they wouldnt know you swapped one out unless you told them

I completely agree with you, if you're not happy with the quality return it! We do work so hard for our money so don't settle for lesser quality especially when you are buying luxury! Made in the US now says it is made in the US. I found this when I went to a department store in NY this April. + Made in France looked, felt way more better.

So sorry for your experience dear. Back in 2018 I also got a defective wallet (it was the caissa wallet) I returned it and replaced it with the Jeanne wallet. And just recently I got a bracelet that tarnished just after a week of wearing it, ‘twas really disappointing. I feel like coach retail has even better quality than LV now.

@@Jetvinchy yup I tried but the SA just said It’s normal cause it’s only gold plated but I wasn’t convinced since gold plated should at least last for several months or even years. The bracelet is still with me but I promised myself not to buy any fashion accessories from them. I have Guess? fashion accessories and they’re all stainless steel with real swarovski crystals and they still look brand new and I got them for only 30 to 50 dollars. Sad but sometimes it’s really true that we’re just paying for the brand name and not for its quality.

OMG, I had a similar experience with LV a week ago. I ordered the key cle in graphite online to gift to my nephew for his b- day. When it arrived, I was so disappointed, issues like it’s thinner, smaller zipper teeth, made in USA, the color is not vivid or not impressive compared to the ones made I France. I went to the LV store and exchanged without any questions asked for the monogram. Online merchandise, shopping is no longer fun for me. I’m Sorry for your stressful experience with LV online , I learned too not to use Pay Pal for my purchases.

I’m glad you went and exchanged it for a better one. It’s a hit or missed when it comes to LV items now. Yesss never using pal pay for anything expensive anymore. I went through the same frustration you did. I ordered the graphite cle online and at first look I already know I don’t like it. I returned it to the store and thank God I didn’t use PayPal. I learned Not to use PayPal through an experience I had returning a coach bag, however the SA who took care of it was very nice 👍 and she took care of me. Thanks for sharing your experience, it shows that my experience is also many peoples experience.

The same thing happened to me… I bought a LV item with paypal and I went to the stand alone LV to return and I was told that I couldn’t return it there… on the upside, the return via mail was a breeze… within a week, I received my refund but never used paypal again afterwards😂
