I spent a good week just figuring out in my head the projects, videos and activities I'd like to do in the coming month. And it can be sooo tempting to go the flashy route, change all my regular routines, buy new stuff, new materials. I didn't talk about it in this vlog but this time of year can cause a lot of unnecessary wanting. comparison with people on different paths. unintentional goals made up from looking at other's social media accounts... yeah. It can make any good progress feel like nothing. But I got over the hump, I'm excited for my next painting and I do have some other fun work and experiences I'd like to share with you before the end of the year, that are rooted in my own taste and journey, not just what seems popular. If you actually read these descriptions and have any ideas for December vlogs you want to see, let me know. I'm hoping to make more videos than usual for you. :)
But anyways, I hope you enjoy this vlog as I got the ball rolling again. It really is a process, but worth it to have something on the easle again. when there's a painting on deck I feel a lot more focused and engaged in my dad to day life. plus I snuck in a little trip home for Thanksgiving which also lifted my mood.
