Good evening madam i have seen many receipies of mysore rasam powder making they used to fry in coconut oil. Is the taste differs when we fry in normal cooking oil? Also they add kopra powder is it no issues to add Nornal grated coconut? And also no need of pluck out stalk of dry chillies ??

Mangalore people will use more coconut oil. I have used normal chekku kadala oil. If you use coconut oil, the flavor will definitely differ. You can add dry coconut. The taste will enhance. In the end, you have to add fresh coconut for seasoning .Thank you ❤️

If you are not removing the stalk from chilles, taste will not change. Generally, I'll remove it because of my surgery they put needle one right, and it got swollen and paining also. So, I didn't remove
