The vibrant colours gives the layout a kind of Japanese feeling.

This will be an excellent calling card for N Scale at the exhibition. Another advantage of N is that a few details added to the scene as you have really make it pop.

That EMU runs a treat! Looks great with the freight on the inside 😎 Glad to have helped withe subway idea. I think it really helps to rationalise the scene and will be even better when the tram is going along the top! 👍 Shame I couldn’t make the show to see it but I’d already agreed to take my father in law to the show at Stamford which was absolutely brilliant! 😁 Cheers mate, hope it all went well and the trucks weren’t too troublesome in the end 😉👍🍻🍀

I enjoy your N scale layout! I really enjoy seeing what you're doing and getting hear about your future plans. I have an N layout, an HO (I'm American) layout, a couple of Lionel O sets (one is from the 1930s and goes around the Christmas tree, the other my daughter and I get out and set up in the living room to play with from time to time), and this summer I'm going to be doing a G scale in the back yard that I'm looking forward to (I'm painting the locos and cars after our local Frisco railroad from the early 1900s). This hobby is just too much fun, and it's fun that my daughter enjoys it with me (she's 9). Cheers!

I recently purchased a kato pocketline set and some kato track to build a small approximately 2x1 feet layout. It will be my 1st n scale layout in more than 20 years. I was inspired by this video and your previous n scale kato videos too try n scale again.

Like the layout, looks very like an N gauge "Market Town". I think the Kato EMU is a lovely model. Whole thing should be perfect for Sompting. Wish we could be there again. This is looking very good, i am building a layout of the same dimension but using US stock, it still takes a lot of getting used too though compared to my HO American stock, i had a small collection of US N guage purchased at shows for peanuts and some box cars and tankers owned for several years but not used(as you do)but your model and watching Steves Trains on YT convinced me to make a start and i have gone for Kato track. Have a good exhibition you realy are an inspiration to a lot of us out here!!

As expected budget model railways always come up with a very nice layout, N gauge was my first choice and the attraction for me was that you can do such a lot in a small space as mike has shown here in the video ? but when seeing it up close at the exhibitions i have attended i did find it to small and this would become a problem as my eyes are sadly not what they use to be ? but i have no doubt that when mike and doug do there exhibition on the 13th may with the 3d printer it will prove to be very popular and there will be many who will think of giving N gauge a try . Magnificent! So refreshingly different and original. For me at least it's way more interesting than OO. I get real sea port vibes. Can almost smell the sea breeze! Ouf of interest, do you think the Kato pre-ballasted track could be used for a temporary layout on a hard floor? I use similar-looking H0 Roco Line track on floor and even carpet and would be interested in whether I could do something similar in N with the Kato track.
