The Zhaojun Museum, also known as the Zhaojun Tomb [1] or "Qing Zhong," is the burial site of Wang Zhaojun, a famous consort from the Han Dynasty according to historical records and folklore. Located on the south bank of Dahei River, 9 kilometers south of Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Zhaojun Tomb was originally built during the Western Han Dynasty, constructed using rammed earth. Shaped like an inverted bowl, the tomb stands 33 meters tall with a base area of about 13,000 square meters. With a history spanning over 2,000 years, it is one of the largest Han Dynasty tombs in China. The tourism around Zhaojun Tomb has stimulated economic development in the surrounding areas. It is currently designated as a National AAAA Tourist Attraction and a key cultural heritage site of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In August 2017, the expansion project of the Zhaojun Cultural Tourism Area was completed, increasing the scenic area to 683.5 acres.
