Convicted felons are allowed black powder according to FEDERAL laws. State laws, on the other hand, are a minefield. There are a number of them that forbid felons any kind of gun, and some that follow the federal guidelines. Regardless, until the sentence is fully completed, the prohibitions are still in place (i.e. off probation). Basically, an easy way to remember is "if it takes a cartridge, they can't have it."

Just a heads up, high quality real black, like Swiss brand, is cleaner and less corrosive than any of the substitutes. Everything Black Powder YT channel has matched the best commercial powder with his homemade powder. Currently he's working on exceeding it. If all you can get is substitutes, that's fine, it just fouls worse and you have to treat it as corrosive ammo. Clean immediately with hot soap and water, then some moose milk(Ballistol and water mixed 25/75 to 50/50). Real black, you can let it set till you get to it.

That is a valid question for sure. Other than just for fun, I don't think there is an answer.

Cap & ball NAA gun looks cool but dirty when used. Plus a waist of time loading it. A regular NAA that shoots 22lr & 22 magnum is way faster to reload & much cleaner to shoot. Would i buy a NAA cap & ball gun , no . One that shoots 22lr & 22 mag, yes indeed , if i could own one in Canada. Dreaming the dream because Canadian firearms bylaws suck big time. You Americans don't know how good you have it , when it comes to firearms ownership.

I don't sell anything here. Just showing off personal collection type stuff. This one anyone can buy directly from NAA or from other wholesalers.
